The injury bug has hit Ring of Honor.
Many ROH champions are booked to compete on AEW All Out as both promotions are under the Tony Khan banner. One champion who is noticeably absent, and has been absent since late July, is Mercedes Martinez.
On the AEW All Out media call, Tony Khan revealed that Martinez is currently sidelined with an injury.
"Mercedes Martinez, the women's world champion of Ring of Honor, is actually out with an injury, but will be back soon. A lot of the other Ring of Honor world champions are represented on this card," he said.
Khan did not detail Martinez' injury.
Martinez successfully defended the ROH Women's Championship against Serena Deeb at ROH Death Before Dishonor. She last wrestled at NEW Zero Fear on July 24.
