Mercedes Mone says her current run in AEW is the best she's felt in her career.
At AEW Dynamite: Big Business, Mercedes Mone made her debut with the promotion and since then has picked up the AEW TBS Championship at Double Or Nothing earlier this year. She remains the champion, and will defend her title at the upcoming Full Gear pay-per-view against Kris Statlander.
While speaking on the Battleground podcast, Mercedes reflected on her run in the company so far, noting that it is the best she has ever felt in wrestling.
“I mean, my first what, seven months? It’s been amazing. Look at [these titles] behind you. Each title has its own locker. It’s amazing. It’s been the best, so far, the best so far I’ve ever felt in my career, having these matches and opportunity and just the chance to keep on growing and going and having these dreams and living old dreams. My biggest dream was to be in Japan, and now I’m a New Japan Strong Women’s Champion. It’s been the best so far in AEW because this is where the best wrestle, and AEW makes sure that I still have this really competitive fire in me, I still want to be the absolute best, and I feel like I’m just getting started."
Mone is also the current NJPW STRONG Women's Champion, and appeared at NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed. You can read more about that here.
Elsewhere in the same interview, Mercedes discussed Tony Khan. You can read more about that here.
