Michin Says She Fully Trusted Triple H To 'Not Fumble' Her Upon WWE Return

Michin (Mia Yim) was released by WWE in November 2021 after an ill-fated run as a member of RETRIBUTION and going months without appearing on television.

Michin would work for TNA Wrestling and make independent appearances before returning to WWE in November 2022 when Triple H had more control over the creative direction.

Speaking to Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Michin explained how Triple H being in charge influenced her return.

"It was nice to know that there was someone that at least tried and cared," she said, speaking on how Triple H tried to help when things didn't catch on with RETRIBUTION. "Hunter, Triple H, in NXT he felt like a protective father figure. It was like, 'Oh, well, I know how Hunter has treated us at NXT, and seeing all my friends come back and knowing that he has more control, I feel comfortable and I can fully trust him to not fumble [me].'"

Michin noted that it's easier to handle wrestling's highs and lows because Triple H's plans "always flourish."

"It may take a month, it may take three months, but it always happens how he explains it. So I have never had a reason to doubt his word. I know that if any direction or idea has come about and is presented to me that it could literally start next week, it could start next month, or could start next year, but I know that at least it’s gonna happen," she said.

Michin challenged Nia Jax for the WWE Women's Championship in a street fight on Friday's WWE SmackDown.
