Miyu Yamashita will be part of WrestleMania weekend, specifically competing at IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United for a chance to earn a shot at the IMPACT Knockouts Championship.
Yamashita was originally scheduled to challenge Mickie James for the title in a four-way match that also featured Deonna Purrazzo and Gisele Shaw.
However, James suffered an injury and had to pull out of the match. She was replaced by Masha Slamovich.
Yamashita is the reigning EVE Champion and a former Princess Of Princess Champion. She is a regular for Tokyo Joshi Pro, and though she has wrestled for various independent companies in America, she has never competed for IMPACT.
"There have been many matches announced for my excursion, but the IMPACT match is very special because I have always wanted to wrestle in IMPACT. Having this happen so early in my excursion, it's a special four way match. Gisele Shaw, who I've fought before, Mickie James, the current champion, and Deonna Purrazzo, a former champion. It's a huge four-way and it could be dangerous. What to expect? Only one way to find out," Yamashita told Fightful's Scott Edwards.
IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United takes place on March 30. The event will air on FITE TV.
