The Miz may have a new schedule in the coming weeks.
The Intercontinental Champion tweeted Saturday that he had entered contract negotiations with SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan. But since Sept. 16, things have gone downhill for the A-Lister and Bryan.
According to WWE.com, the site said “negotiations between Intercontinental Champion The Miz and SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan have become strained and now appear to have completely broken down, with the two sides unable to come to an equitable agreement." Both parties acknowledged as much via Twitter
On Facebook Live, Miz did an interview with SmackDown Live ring announcer Greg Hamilton at a live event in Springfield, Missouri, Saturday night. The 35 year old Cleveland native was direct in what his future may hold in WWE, with negotiations breaking down between him and Bryan. If he continues to be treated the way he has been, Miz wants to move to Monday nights.
“He has to understand the value that I have. You don’t like me Daniel, trade me. Trade me to Raw. I’ll tell you what, right now Daniel. You don’t like me. Shane doesn’t like me. Trade me to Monday Night Raw because I guarantee you Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon will open their arms to me because they have business minds. They’re very, very smart," Miz said.
Miz also said while Daniel Bryan is a great talent in the ring, that doesn't translate to his role as GM.
“Daniel Bryan is an immense talent in the WWE ring. He’s a terrible, terrible general manager. He thinks with his heart. He should be thinking with his brain. It’s a business mind. Heart is out there in the WWE ring, somewhere that Daniel Bryan is not allowed to be anymore. The brain is what a general manager needs, to understand where his talent is and how to showcase that talent. Bad general manager," Miz said.
