MJF wins gold.
On the July 17 edition of AEW Dynamite, MJF and Will Ospreay battled in a near 60 minute match for the AEW International Championship. The bout featured multiple finishers, moves on the apron, fighting in the crowd, and a table spot.
In the end, MJF was able to unseat the champion in controversial fashion. The closing stretch of the bout featured Ospreay coming to close to nailing MJF with the Tiger Driver 91'. After refusing to hit the move, Ospreay was shoved into referee Bryce Remsburg by MJF. MJF then took advantage of the situation and clocked Ospreay in the head with his Dynamite Diamond Ring. MJF then put one arm over Ospreay to cover him as the sixty minute time limit nearly expired.
