The SmackDown Tag Titles will be on the line at Extreme Rules.
Daniel Bryan and Rowan have been reigning as SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions since May 7th and their next challenge will come on July 14th at WWE's Extreme Rules pay-per-view where they'll defend their titles against Big E and Xavier Woods of The New Day.

Both teams came over to Monday Night RAW as a Wild Card in June and Xavier Woods pinned Daniel Bryan on that specific show. On the June 25th edition of SmackDown, New Day upped the score on the the SmackDown Tag Team Champions once again which put them in position to challenge for the gold at Extreme Rules.

On the July 2nd edition of SmackDown Live, Heavy Machinery earned their way into the match by defeating the make-shift duo of Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler.
