Nia Jax is grateful.

WWE released Nia Jax in 2021, but she returned in September 2023, and she has had a successful run ever since. After winning the Queen of the Ring tournament, Jax continued her momentum at WWE SummerSlam, as she beat Bayley to win the WWE Women's Championship.

At the WWE SummerSlam post-show, Stephanie Hypes of Bodyslam.net asked Jax to comment on her title win.

"It is incredible, it’s actually our first SummerSlam ever. I’ve never been part of a SummerSlam, so this is my very first SummerSlam. So it does mean a lot. It was pretty incredible that Tiffy [Tiffany Stratton] came out and shared the moment with me. My mother was there, my aunt was there, so it means a lot because it’s been quite a journey for me, but yeah, thanks," Jax said.

Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely then asked Jax about her title win coming not even a year after she returned to WWE. Jax reflected on her journey and emphasized that she was grateful to Triple H for the opportunity.

"It’s pretty incredible because a year ago, it was a different position for me, but I’m extremely grateful for Triple H for taking a chance on me, not just a year ago, but ten years ago when he hired me here. So it’s been an incredible journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity," Jax said.
