Nikkita Lyons has confirmed her injury.
On Tuesday's NXT it was announced that Lyons had been sidelined with an injury, taking her out of the Women's NXT Breakout Tournament. It was noted that the injury was a freak accident that happened during training.
Taking to Instagram Live, Lyons said that she suffered a partial tear on her MCL, "just a sprain, it could have been worse," she said. She said that she does not need surgery and she has already started rehab. She also showed off the brace on her leg and called it a "freak accident."
It is unknown when Lyons will return to the ring.
She was replaced in the Women's Breakout Tournament by Tiffany Stratton. Stratton defeated Fallon Henley in the semi-finals of the tournament, moving her to the finals to meet Roxanne Perez.
Fightful would like to wish Lyons all the best in her recovery.
