Match By Match Recap

Kushida, Jushin “Thunder” Liger, Tiger Mask IV & Hirai Kawato vs. Suzuki-Gun (Taka Michinoku, Taichi, El Desparado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)

The match begins with an all out brawl breaking out between both teams before the bell rings, Desparado stays in the ring to battle Kushida. Kushida quickly takes Desparado down with a hurricarana, Liger hits the ring and he gives all the members of Suzuki-Gun a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. Liger locks Desparado in the Romero Special until his teammates make the save, Suzuki-Gun then attacks Liger with a quadruple team attack. Liger cracks a charging Michinoku with a palm strike before tagging Mask IV in, Mask IV catches Michinoku with a roll up for a near fall.

Mask IV quickly cleans house on the members of Suzuki-Gun, Mask IV then hits Michinoku with a toger driver for a near fall. Michinoku drops a charging Mask IV before tagging Desparado in, Kushida gets the tag as well and he drops Desparado with a drop kick. Kushida then hits Taichi and Kanemaru with a double handspring elbow strike, Desparado catches Kushida with a stretch muffler after a series of reversals. Kushida escapes to drop Desparado with a pele kick, Kawato tags in and he nails Desparado with a flying forearm strike.

Desparado is then quadruple teamed by the opposing team, Kawato catches Desparado with a missile drop kick for a near fall. Another brawl breaks out all over the place while Kawato locks Desparado in a Boston crab, Taichi breaks it up before double teaming Kawato with Kanemaru. Desparado nails Kawato with the Angel’s Wings for the three count.

Winners: Suzuki-Gun (Taka Michinoku, Taichi, El Desparado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)

Chaos (Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & Yoshi-Hashi) vs. Bullet Club (Tonga Loa, Yujiro Takahashi & Chase Owens)

The match begins with an all out brawl breaking out between everybody in the match, Yoshi-Hashi takes Takahashi down with a hurricarana as everybody else battles on the arena floor. Takahashi trips up Yoshi-Hashi and he nails him with a drop kick, Takahashi mounts Yoshi-Hashi and assaults him with strikes. Owens tags in and he attacks Yoshi-Hashi with some strikes as well, Loa tags in and Yoshi-Hashi gets triple teamed in the corner by Bullet Club. Loa then double teams Yoshi-Hashi with Owens as Takahashi leaves the ring, Loa traps Yoshi-Hashi in the corner while attacking him with more strikes. Yoshi-Hashi recovers and he cracks Loa with a mule kick to the midsection, Ishii tags in and he drops Loa with a shoulder tackle.

Takahashi interferes and Ishii nails him with a power slam, Owens hits the ring as well and Ishii clobbers him with a German suplex. Loa recovers and he drops Ishii with a shoulder tackle of his own, Loa nails Ishii with a blue thunder bomb for a near fall. Ishii nails Loa with a Samoan drop before Loa nails him with a suplex, Owens tags in and Ishii drops him before tagging Goto in. Goto hits Owens with a spin kick in the corner, Bullet Club hits the ring to triple team Goto as Owens gets the near fall afterwards. Owens goes for the package pile driver and Goto escapes to eat a few kicks instead, Goto recovers to hit Owens with a modified neck breaker followed by the GTR for the three count.

Winners: Chaos (Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & Yoshi-Hashi)

Yuji Nagata & Togi Makabe vs. Suzuki-Gun (Takashi Iizuka & Zack Sabre Jr.)

The match begins with abrawl breaking out with both teams inside of the ring, Iizuka goes to the arena floor with Makabe and he throws Makabe into the barricade. Nagata and Sabre Jr have a striking exchange inside of the ring, Iizuka drags Makabe into the crowd while attacking him with chair shots. Sabre Jr and Nagata brawl on the arena floor as well now, the teams battle back to ringside and Iizuka chokes Nagata in the corner. Nagata recovers and he clobbers a charging Iizuka with a boot to the face, Makabe tags in and he assaults Iizuka with strikes in the corner.

Iizuka gets angry and he simply chokes Makabe with his hands in the corner, Makabe eats an atomic drop before dropping Iizuka with a clothesline. Nagata and Sabre Jr get the tags from their respective partners, Nagata catches Sabre Jr in a cross face after a series of reversals. Sabre Jr breaks free and he catches Nagata in the octopus hold, Iizuka and Makabe brawl on the area floor as well. Nagata nails Sabre Jr with an exploder suplex for a near fall, Nagata follows that up by nailing Sabre Jr with an enzaguri. El Desparado distracts the referee as Iizuka hits the ring and nails Nagata with the iron claw, Sabre Jr nails Nagata with a penalty kick for a near fall.

Winners: Suzuki-Gun (Takashi Iizuka & Zack Sabre Jr.)

Katusya Kitamura, Ricochet, Ryusuke Taguchi & War Machine (Raymond Rowe & Hanson) vs. Bullet Club (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Bad Luck Fale, Hangman Page & Cody)

The match begins with Nick dropping Ricochet with a shoulder tackle, Ricochet then knocks a leaping Nick out of the ring with a drop kick. Matt hits the ring and Ricochet nails him with a hip attack, Cody and Hanson get the tags from their respective partners. Page tries interfering and Cody accidentally takes him out, Rowe tags in as War Machine nails Cody with double team moves. Rowe takes out all the members of Bullet Club with gut busters and back breakers, Rowe tries attacking Fale and he gets worked over by all members of Bullet Club.

Page tags in and he chokes Rowe on the middle rope, Rowe gets angry and he drops Page with a series of headbutts. Taguchi tags in and he attacks the opposing team with some hip attacks, Taguchi then sends an interfering Fale to the arena floor. Taguchi leaps off the middle rope and he is nailed with a quadruple super kick by Bullet Club, Kitamura hits the ring and he is clobbered with super kicks as well. Bullet Club go to the top rope for moonsaults and each member is crotched before getting slammed in the ring, Hanson sets up for a moonsault and Fale crotches him on the top rope.

Ricochet goes after fale and Fale crushes him with a lariat, Kitamura hits the ring and he levels Cody with a shoulder tackle before eating more super kicks. Everybody from both teams hit the ring to take each other out, Ricochet eentually atkes everybody out on the arena floor with a suicide dive. Hanson follows suit and he does a dive off the top rope onto everybody, Kitamura goes for a dive and page nails him with a clothesline. Page hits Kitamura with the Rite Of Passage for the three count.

Winners: Bullet Club (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Bad Luck Fale, Hangman Page & Cody)

Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi & David Finlay vs. Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Bushi & Hiromu Takahashi)

The match begins with Naito jumping Ibushi in the ring while everybody else battles on the arena floor, Takahashi hits the ring and Isbushi takes him and Naito out with a double pele kick, Finlay tags in and he nails Naito with a middle rope European uppercut. Bushi interferes and he helps Naito double team Finlay, Bushi gets the legal tag and he chokes Finlay with his shirt. Takahashi tags in and he nails Finlay with a clothesline in the corner followed by a basement drop kick, Finlay recovers and he drops a charging Takahashi with a clothesline.

Tanahashi tags in and he attacks Naito with a series of strikes, Tanahashi then drops Naito with a flying forearm strike. Tanahashi would then catch Naito with a dragon screw leg whip, Tanahashi locks Naito in the Texas cloverleaf until Takahashi breaks it up. Ibushi hits the ring and Naito immediately attacks him, Ibushi recovers by dropping Naito with a punching combination followed by a standing moonsault for a near fall. Naito recovers and he nails Ibushi with an enzaguri followed by a satellite DDT, Bushi tags in and he nails Ibushi with a missile drop kick.

Bushi then connects with a spinning fisherman buster suplex, Bushi goes for MX and Ibushi gets out of the way. Everybody from both teams hit the ring to take each other out, Ibushi clobbers Bushi with a knee strike to get the three count.

Winners: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi & David Finlay

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block B: Michael Elgin vs. Juice Robinson

The match begins with Robinson and Elgin working over each others arm, Robinson and Elgin get into a chopping exchange as well. Robinson then drops Elgin with a back suplex once the exchange is over, Elgin recovers and he sends a charging Robinson to the arena floor. Elgin then does a dive off the ring apron onto Robinson, Elgin suplexes Robinson back into the ring for a near fall. Elgin picks up Robinson and he crushes him with forearm strikes, Elgin places Robinson on the top rope and he is looking for a superplex. Robinson eventually knocks Elgin off the ropes by using some headbutts, Robinson goes for the high cross body and Elgin rolls through.

Robinson escapes the grasp of Elgin before popping him with his patented jabs, Robinson nails Elgin with an inverted DDT for a near fall. Elgin recovers and he nails Robinson with an enzaguri, Elgin looks for a lariat and Robinson counters with a full nelson slam. Robinson looks for the left and Elgin crushes him with more forearm strikes followed by an enzaguri, Robinson and Elgin would then exchange clotheslines in the corner. Robinson goes for the leg lariat and Elgin nails him with a one armed power bomb, Elgin destroys Robinson with the lariat for a near fall. Robinson escapes an Elgin bomb to catch him with another inverted DDT, Robinson charges at Elgin and Elgin destroys him with a super kick.

Elgin goes to the top rope and Robinson takes him off with a power bomb, Robinson goes for Pulp Friction and he winds up catching him with a gut buster instead. Robinson catches a cornered Elgin with a cannonball, Elgin catches him and hits him with a power bomb into a buckle bomb. Robinson catches Elgin with a roll up from out of nowhere for a near fall, Elgin places Robinson on the top rope andhe takes him off for a Burning Hammer attempt. Robinson escapes and he clobbers Elgin with a pair of lefts followed by Pulp Friction for the three count.

Winner: Juice Robinson

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block B: Tama Tonga vs. Sanada

The match begins with Sanada clobbering a charging Tonga with a drop kick, Tonga pops back up and he catches Sanada with a drop kick as well. Sanada and Tonga have a handshake before attempting to attack each other, Sanada and Tonga exchange hurricaranas as well. Tonga mounts a downed Sanada and he assaults him with strikes, Tonga looks for the Paradise Lock and he winds up stomping Sanada instead. Sanada recovers and he knocks Tonga out of the ring before tossing him into the barricade, Sanada drags Tonga into the crowd and he puts him in the Paradise Lock.

Bullet Club members help Tonga escape the lock and Tonga makes it back into the ring to beat the count, Sanada chases Tonga outside the ring before eating a clothesline. Tonga throws Sanada back into the ring while attacking him with headbutts, Tonga traps Sanada in the corner before catching him with an avalanche. Sanada and Tonga have a striking exchange near the corner, Sanada then cracks Tonga with a spring baord drop kick. Tonga rolls out of the ring and Sanada catches him with a dive, Sanada goes for the Skull End on the arena floor and Tonga Loa interferes to take out Sanada with a clothesline.

Tonga gets back in the ring and he attacks Sanada with some strikes, Sanada catches a leaping Tonga with a European uppercut followed by a TKO for a near fall. Tonga goes for the Gun Stun and Sanada goes for the Skull End, Tonga catches Sanada with a small package for a near fall. Sanada catches Tonga with a Gun Stun from out of nowhere for a near fall, Tonga catches Sanada with a Tongan Twist after a series of reversals. Tonga catches Sanada with a Gun Stun for a three count.

Winner: Tama Tonga

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block B: Toru Yano vs. Minoru Suzuki

The match begins with Suzuki attacking Yano as he enters the ring, Suzuki drags Yano to the arena floor and he tosses him into the barricade. Taichi interferes and attacks Yano while Suzuki distracts the referee, Suzuki returns and he throws Yano into the barricade again. Taichi interferes again and he attacks Yano with a bell hammer, Suzuki returns and he attacks Yano with a series of strikes. Suzuki drags Yano into the ring and Yano tries removing the turnbuckle pad, Yano eventually removes the turnbuckle pad and Suzuki kicks him in the back.

Suzuki attacks Yano with a series of strikes before locking him in a sleeper hold, Suzuki goes for the pile driver and he winds up knocking him out of the ring while the referee was being grabbed. Taichi again attacks Yano while Suzuki distracts the referee, Yano nails Suzuki with an atomic drop and he throws Suzuki back into the ring. Yano finds tape and Suzuki kicks Yano into the referee as both are down on the arena floor, Suzuki grabs the tape and he tapes the feet of Yano together. Suzuki starts attacking Yano with a ton of strikes while his feet are taped together, Suzuki nails Yano with a penalty kick before applying the sleeper hold.

Taichi interferes again and Rocky Romero leaves the commentary position to attack him, Suzuki attacks Romero and the two have a striking exchange. Suzuki grabs a chair and Yano winds up hitting him with a different chair, Yano finds the tape and he tapes Suzuki’s arms around him before rolling him up for the three count.

Winner: Toru Yano

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block B: Satoshi Kojima vs. Evil

The match begins with Kojima dropping a charging Evil with a shoulder tackle, Evil rolls out of the ring and Kojima misses a plancha attempt. Evil grabs Kojima and he tosses him into the barricade, Evil wraps a chair around the head of Kojima before nailing him with another chair. Kojima returns to the ring and Evil catches him with a curb stomp, Evil drops Kojima with a series of strikes before nailing Kojima with a senton for a near fall. Evil mounts Kojima and he assaults him with some more strikes, Kojima starts fighting back and he attacks Evil with Mongolian chops.

Kojima traps Evil in the corner before attacking him with machine gun chops, Kojima then hits Evil with a flying forearm strike in the corner before going to the top rope. Kojima catches Evil with a top rope elbow drop for a near fall, Evil uses a referee distraction to nail Kojima with a super kick to the midsection. Evil goes for the lariat and Kojima counters with a Koji Cutter, Evil rolls to the ring apron and he drapes Kojima neck first on the top rope. Kojima goes to the ring apron and he nails Evil with a DDT on the ringside edge, they battle back into the ring and Kojima nails Evil with a top rope Koji Cutter for a two count.

Evil recovers and he cracks Kojima with a release German suplex, Evil follows that up by nailing Kojima with a fisherman buster suplex for a near fall. Evil then hits Kojima with Darkness Falls for yet another near fall, Evil starts attacking Kojima with lariats until Kojima finally goes down. Evil waits for Kojima to get up and the two exchange lariats until they both go down, Kojima hits Evil with a brain buster for a near fall. Kojima goes for a lariat and he winds up catching Evil from behind, Evil gets up and he drops Kojima with a headbutt. Evil nails Kojima with Everything Is Evil for the three count.

Winner: Evil

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block B: Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega

The match begins with Omega kicking Okada in the face before attacking him with chops, Omega then hits Okada with a snap dragon suplex. Omega and Okada go for their finishers and neither hit them, Okada catches Omega with a drop kick that knocks him out of the ring. Okada goes to the arena floor and he throws Omega into the barricade, Okada eventually knocks Omega over the barricade and into the crowd. Okada dives over the barricade and he crashes with Omega into a bunch of chairs, Okada throws Omega into the ring before catching him with a top rope elbow drop. Okada goes for the Rainmaker and Omega knocks him to the arena floor, Omega follows that up by catching Okada with a suicide dive.

Omega throws Okada in the ring before nailing him in the back of the head with a missile drop kick for a near fall, Omega follows that up by twisting the head of Okada. Omega released the hold and he attacks Okada with a series of elbow strikes, Omega picks up Okada and he nails him with a running back breaker for another near fall. Omega gets Okada in the seated position before just kicking away at him, Omega slows things down by holding Okada in a chin lock. Okada recovers and he nails a charging Omega with a boot to the face, Okada goes for a senton bomb and Omega gets his knees up.

Omega goes for a pile driver and Okada counters with a back body drop, Okada then hits Omega with a modified neck breaker. Okada nails Omega with a few strikes before dropping him with a running back elbow strike, Okada then cracks Omega with a DDT. Okada then catches Omega with a running European uppercut for a near fall, Okada looks for the tombstone pile driver and Omega escapes to attack him with chops. Omega then hits Okada with a Finaly roll, Omega would then go for the moonsault and Okada gets his knees up. Omega gets back up and he knocks Okada out of the ring with a hurricarana, Omega sets up for a dive and Okada gets back in the ring to nail him with a flapjack.

Okada goes for the tombstone pile driver and Omega escapes to get to the ring apron, Okada then catches Omega with a drop kick that knocks him to the arena floor. Omega recovers and he crushes Okada with a reverse hurricarana on the arena floor, Omega shoves the trainers out of the ring before dragging Okada to the ring apron. Omega destroys Okada with a snap dragon suplex on the ringside edge, Omega then hits Okada with a cross legged neck breaker for a near fall in the ring. Omega gets Okada to his knees and he clobbers him with a series of knee strikes to the head, Okada tries fighting back and Omega assaults him with chops. Omega goes for the V Trigger and Okada blocks it, Okada reverses the One Winged Angel and he hits Omega with a tombstone pile driver.

Omega gets up first and he places Okada on the top rope, Omega goes for a super fisherman buster suplex and Okada blocks it. Okada knocks Omega off the ropes before crushing him with a missile drop kick, Okada follows that up by nailing Omega with a shotgun drop kick. Okada and Omega have a striking exchange until Omega lands a V Trigger, Okada recovers and nails a charging Omega with a drop kick. Okada goes for the Rainmaker and Omega counters with a V Trigger, Okada then hits Omega with a release German suplex. Okada for for the Rainmaker and Omega nails him with a uranage, Omega goes for a One Winged Angel and Okada nails him with the Rainmaker for a near fall.

Okada goes for another tombstone pile driver and Omega rolls him up for a few near falls, Okada then crushes Omega with a few more Rainmakers. Omega counters a third Rainmaker by nailing Okada with a series of German suplexes, Omega follows that up by nailing Okada with a reverse hurricarana for a near fall. Omega catches Okada with another German suplex for a near fall, Omega goes for a V Trigger and Okada nails him with a drop kick. Okada goes for the Rainmaker and Omega counters with a V Trigger, Omega then hits Okada with a double under hook pile driver for a near fall. Omega nails Okada with another V Trigger followed by a One Winged Angel for a three count.
