Harold Meij speaks out.
As previously reported by Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, the morale in the NJPW locker room is "weird" with some considering WWE as an option. The report said that wrestlers are having less fun since Harold Meij and Michael Craven took over operations in May.
In a statement on the NJPW website, Meij refuted Meltzer's report.
Meij stated that he had "a disgusting feeling" after reading the report. He noted that there are 60 wrestlers under contract and the treatment of each wrestler differs. Finally, Meij stated that his goal is to keep NJPW out of the dark days once again.
Earlier today, Tama Tonga spoke out on the rumors of locker room unhappiness. Meij claims that he did not know of Tonga's tweets, but supported him. Tonga specifically called out Kenny Omega for feeding the information to Meltzer.
