Multiple buzzworthy bouts have been announced for the May 2 episode of WWE NXT.
As confirmed during the April 25 episode of WWE NXT, Wes Lee will defend the NXT North American Championship against Drew Gulak. Lee defeated Charlie Dempsey to retain the title on the April 18 episode of NXT, and Gulak attacked him after the match. Gulak and Dempsey sent Lee a heated message during the "Spring Breakin'" episode on April 25. Lee confirmed the title match and accepted Tyler Bate's offer to be in his corner.
Plus, former tag team partners Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne will continue their heated feud. Jayne cost Dolin the ladder match for the NXT Women's Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver, and the rivalry has continued to escalate ever since. Jayne has accused Dolin of abandoning her brother, and on the April 25 episode, Gigi stated that her brother will be at ringside the following week; she vowed to bash Jayne's face in when they clash again.

Elsewhere on the show, Joe Gacy will face Joe Coffey in a high-stakes match. If Gacy wins, The Dyad (Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid) will get a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships, which are currently held by Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang). But if Coffey wins, The Dyad can never again challenge for the titles as long as the Gallus duo are the reigning champions.
