The NXT Cruiserweight Title match is official.
NXT announced that Kushida will defend the NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Roderick Strong on the September 21 episode of NXT.
The match came together after Kushida interrupted a promo by Malcolm Bivens on Tuesday's NXT, saying Bivens talks too much and that he was ready to fight.
The bout was originally scheduled for the August 17 episode of NXT, but Kushida was not medically cleared the day of the show. Kushida later revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19.
