After months away due to COVID-19, NXT UK will return in the month of September.
As announced on NXT TakeOver XXX, NXT UK will be returning on September 17th as they film from the BT Sports studio in London, England.
Due to the filmed nature of NXT UK, there were live audiences on episodes of the UK series after live audiences had left the WWE main roster shows. However, once the episodes that had been taped were finished, NXT UK survived several months by airing best-of compilations, and matches that were never before seen featuring names such as Adam Cole, Matt Riddle, and others.
NXT UK also had several Superstars named in allegations as part of the Speaking Out movement. Jack Gallagher and Ligero were released by WWE after allegations surfaced.
The vignette that aired during NXT TakeOver XXX featured champions WALTER and Kay Lee Ray as well as Superstars such as Eddie Dennis and Isla Dawn.

While not much is known about the return of the brand just yet, WWE recently filed trademarks for several NXT Superstar names and a trademark was also filed for “NXT UK Heritage Cup.”
