Orange Cassidy Attacks Trent Beretta With A Monkey Wrench On 7/13 AEW Collision, Tomohiro Ishii Appears

Orange Cassidy doesn’t want to be Trent Beretta’s monkey wrench.

In the main event of the July 13 AEW Collision, The Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven & Mike Bennett defeated The Conglomeration duo of Kyle O’Reilly & Orange Cassidy. However, many moving parts led to the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions defeating their rivals in a non-title match.

Roderick Strong was on commentary for most of the match, but towards the end, he would head to the ringside to try to convince Kyle O’Reilly to side with his team again. That’s when Tomohiro Ishii arrived and attacked the number one contender for the Ring of Honor World Championship. Still, it was to no avail, as The Undisputed Kingdom dropped Kyle O’Reilly with a Spike Piledriver for the victory. Orange Cassidy, meanwhile, was taken out of the action by an interfering Trent Berretta after the match. Cassidy gained a small measure of revenge, striking his former best friend with a monkey wrench.

Cassidy also threatened Mike Bennett and Matt Taven with the monkey wrench, but Kyle O’Reilly advised him against losing too much of his calm. Despite the loss, O’Reilly, Cassidy, and Ishii stood tall at the show's end.

Tony Khan previously announced that Isahii would be hanging around AEW for the rest of the summer of 2024. Learn more here.
