Rocky Romero will challenge for the gold on AEW Rampage.
On the December 20 episode of AEW Dynamite, Renee Paquette interviewed AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, Kris Statlander, Rocky Romero, and Trent Beretta. Romero noted that he was coming off a remarkable reign as the World Historic Welterweight Champion in CMLL, and he wanted to challenge for more gold.
Cassidy responded by saying that he got it, and he would see Romero on AEW Rampage. Paquette noted that it sounded like the title match was official.
Orange Cassidy got the hint, Rocky.
