Paige Announces A Tournament To Determine #1 Contenders For The SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships

The GM is making plays.

The Bludgeon Brothers first captured the SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles this past April at WrestleMania 34 when they emerged victorious in dominating fashion in a multi-team match. Harper and Rowan have been running rough shot over the blue-brand's tag team division since then and most recently they defeated the duo of Daniel Bryan and an injured Kane at 'Extreme Rules' to retain their titles.

Harper and Rowan have yet to be stopped by any team on SmackDown Live but they will soon know who their next challengers are as the SmackDown Live GM Paige made an announcement over social media concerning the next challengers to the titles.

Now although her wording was a bit blurry, Paige did state that there will be a four-team tournament that will stretch through the next three weeks and the winner of said tournament will go on to SummerSlam on August 20th to face Harper & Rowan for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships.

Paige has since announced the teams for the tournament and the field consists of The New Day, Sheamus & Cesaro, The Usos and SAnitY.

This upcoming Tuesday on SmackDown Live the announcement of AJ Styles' opponent at SummerSlam will be made and also Becky Lynch has a massive opportunity that could result in her getting back the SmackDown Live Women's Championship
