Paige Announces When Her Last Day With WWE Will Be, Says She Will One Day Return To The Ring

Paige has announced she is departing WWE.

After joining the WWE main roster in 2014 and participating in several groundbreaking events, Paige has announced that her final day with WWE will be July 7, 2022.

Paige made history as the first-ever NXT Women's Champion and in fact, she never lost that title. She merely surrendered it when she moved up to the main roster and defeated AJ Lee for the WWE Divas Championship on her first night on the main roster.

Throughout her career, which was unfortunately cut short due to a neck injury, she helped Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville find their place on the main roster, helped ignite the women's evolution in the summer of 2015, and after she could no longer wrestle, she was SmackDown general manager for a brief length of time in 2018, before it was ultimately decided that general managers were no longer needed.

In the statement that she released on Twitter, Paige thank WWE for keeping her on board for as long as they did even after the neck injury and says that she will always be grateful for the opportunities she was given. She also said that, at some point, she plans on returning to the ring, regardless of where.

Paige here!

July 7th will be the last day with WWE. I'm so thankful and I appreciate the opportunities that the company has given me. I will always be appreciative of the company that took in an 18-year-old British pale emo girl that didn't look like your average diva, giving me the chance of a lifetime and making me feel like a superstar. I know after my neck injury taking me out of in ring status, it was pretty hard to keep me around for as long as you did and for that I'm thankful too.

Thank you to the WWE Universe. You guys are the most passionate group of fans I've ever seen. Hope you continue to stay on this journey with me.
I think the toughest part weirdly enough is having to let the Paige name go! But Saraya is helluva name. Kudos to my mum for that one.

FYI I'm not saying I'll never be in the ring. That day will most certainly come again! Wherever the return maybe.

Thank you WWE, Saraya —

These days, Paige is mostly on Twitch. She has not wrestled since December 2017. Outside of the ring, she had also started her own brand of clothing and cosmetics, SARAYA. Now, she has a coffee brand. You can check out the brand here.
