Cameron Grimes, Pretty Deadly Drafted To SmackDown; Chance And Carter Picked By Raw In 2023 WWE Draft

The 2023 WWE Draft moved several stars from NXT to the main roster.

The May 1 episode of WWE Raw marked the continuation of the 2023 WWE Draft. During the fifth round, WWE SmackDown selected Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson). Prince and Wilson are former two-time NXT Tag Team Champions, and they have also held the NXT UK Tag Team Championship.

Pretty Deadly came out on the losing side when they faced Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo in the first-ever Trunk Match on the "Spring Breakin'" episode of WWE NXT on April 25. After the match, D'Angelo and Lorenzo drove away with their opponents and seemingly got rid of them, as the duo noted that Prince and Wilson were "sleeping with the fishes."

Elton and Prince competed in singles matches at WWE live events against Kofi Kingston of the New Day in January 2023. They also feuded with Kingston and Xavier Woods in NXT.

Later in the show, Cameron Grimes was drafted to WWE SmackDown during the sixth round. Grimes has not wrestled on NXT since the November 8, 2022 episode, where he lost to Joe Gacy. grimes competed in a dark match at the February 24, 2023 taping of WWE SmackDown.

In the same round, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter were drafted to WWE Raw, Chance and Carter will challenge Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship on the May 2 episode of WWE NXT.
