It wouldn't be a Randy Orton-heavy episode of Monday Night Raw if there wasn't evidence of questionable loyalty, an RKO to an ally, and uncertainty as to whether or not Randy Orton actually has friends.
Randy Orton returned after seven weeks of absence on the August 9 episode of Monday Night Raw. Prior to his absence, he was teaming mostly with Riddle and Riddle was hoping to continue that tag team as soon as Monday Night Raw got on the air. However, he was in for a surprise.
Randy Orton stated from the onset of tonight's episode that he was not looking to team with Riddle anymore. Randy wanted to do things on his own but AJ Styles and Omos, the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions were on the scene to antagonize Randy and AJ would eventually challenge him to a match.
Throughout the night, Randy continued explaining that he did not want a partner or a friend and Riddle would be bummed out by Randy Orton's decision. However, this would all change in the main event which would see Randy Orton face AJ Styles in a WrestleMania 35 rematch.
Riddle would come to Randy Orton's aid and neutralize Omos leading to Randy Orton getting the victory. After the match, the Orlando crowd wanted to see Randy and Riddle hug it out, and to the surprise of many, they did. However, moments later, Randy Orton would lay riddle out with an RKO to end Monday Night Raw.
