Strowman was scheduled for weekend live events on April 22 and 23, but was pulled from the shows. Strowman wrestled on the April 21 episode of WWE SmackDown, teaming with Ricochet against the Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar).

During the bout, Strowman tossed Ricochet into the ring, trying to hit the Viking Raiders, but misjudged things. He then fell to the apron after exiting the ring.

Strowman laughed about the toss spot with Ricochet on social media after it occurred.

Strowman subsequently commented on the injury in a tweet. The former Universal Champion wrote that he was doing better, and they're taking the proper steps to ensure that he returns to 100%. Strowman also stated that he hates missing work, and he apologized to the fans who were looking forward to seeing him perform.

Fightful will continue to update fans on Strowman's condition and return when it is known.
