Brian Cage has reportedly signed a multi-year deal with All Elite Wrestling.
Steve Bryant of SoCalUncensored first reported the news. The news comes shortly after Cage appeared at IMPACT Hard To Kill, losing to Rob Van Dam via referee stoppage. Cage was carried away from ringside after taking a Vanterminator courtesy of RVD. Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports Cage had a torn bicep, which is the reason he did not have a more competitive bout with RVD.
It is unknown when Cage will debut in AEW. He is scheduled to wrestle for Bar Wrestling on Jan. 23.
He became a free agent once his IMPACT deal expired, though it is unclear when his contract with the promotion expired.
Cage reportedly received offers from ROH and IMPACT, with ROH reportedly making the highest bid. Cage almost appeared in the Casino Battle Royale at AEW Double or Nothing, but was prevented by Don Callis, who didn't want Cage, who was the IMPACT World Champion at the time, losing in a pre-show battle royale.
Cage's wife Melissa Santos took to social media to deny the report that he's signed with AEW.
Interesting, I'm his wife and this is news to me. Who "confirmed" this @socaluncensored ???

Cage held the IMPACT World Title for six months in 2019, winning the belt on Apr. 28 from Johnny Impact before losing the title to Sami Callihan on Oct. 25.
AEW has yet to confirm the signing of Cage.
