Punk is headed to Hollywood.
This past July it was unveiled that former 3-time World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and former 3-time WWE Divas Champion April "AJ Lee" Mendez were going to be starring in the remake of the horror film 'Rabid'. The remake of the 1977 film is being pieced together by The Soska Sisters Jen and Sylvia who produced the WWE films 'See No Evil 2' and 'Vendetta'.
In the film CM Punk will play the role of "Billie" and AJ Lee will play the role of a character named "Kira". AJ posted a photo on Instagram of herself on the set of 'Rabid' as filming for the movie is underway.
This is not the only Hollywood endeavor for CM Punk as PWInsider has learned that Punk has landed a lead role in yet another horror film which is unofficially titled 'Team Player'. The report also read that the filming for 'Team Player' will take place over the next several months in Punk's home-state of Illinois.
