Another producer returns to WWE.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports that Dave Finlay has returned to work as a producer and is backstage at NXT. He reportedly returned in the "last week or so."
Finlay was part of the furloughs in April. WWE made significant company-wide cuts and furloughs in April due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Finlay was hired by WWE as a producer in July 2012 and is widely credited for helping the women's division become what it is today.
In September 2018, Finlay said of his role in boosting the women's division, “I think it became important to me because I saw a need, and it seemed to me that the women’s division at that time was just standing still and spinning its wheels. I felt I had something to offer, not to teach anyone to wrestle like me, but to tap into what made each of the women special and to help identify their individual personalities.”
Finlay is the second producer who has recently returned to work as Shane Helms is also back with the company after he was furloughed in April.
