Report: Stephanie McMahon And Triple H Opposed Potential WWE Sale

A new report on a potential WWE sale.

According to Axios, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H opposed the potential sale of WWE. Triple H is the Chief Content Officer while Stephanie resigned from her position as Co-CEO on Tuesday.

As of now, it is unknown if WWE will sell the company. WWE put out a press release on Thursday evening announcing they have "engaged outside advisors to support review of strategic alternatives," mentioning that media rights negotiations are coming up.

In the press release, it is said, "WWE does not intend to comment further until the process has concluded or the Company has otherwise determined that further disclosure is appropriate or required."

Vince McMahon officially returned to the board of directors on January 6, claiming he needed to return to help lead the upcoming round of media rights negotiations. Vince is the controlling shareholder of the company.
