One week after SummerSlam, WWE will reportedly return with another live event special.
WrestleVotes noted on social media that WWE Payback would take place on August 30, which is exactly one week after WWE SummerSlam. Mike Johnson at PWInsider has confirmed that WWE's internal calendar lists Payback for that date. The event is scheduled to take place at the Performance Center.
WWE used the Payback name for pay-per-view events from 2013 to 2017.
Fightful Select first reported on July 11 that WWE had informed some partners that they were planning an August 30 WWE Network special as far back as last month, though further details were not provided at the time.
WWE has yet to confirm Payback as taking place on August 30.
WWE SummerSlam is scheduled for August 23. Two matches have been made official for the event including a WWE Championship bout between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton.
