- After the match, The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) brought a gas tank and tried to light Allin on fire, but then the lights went out. Then, "Seek & Destroy" by Metallica rung across the arena, leading to the return of "The Icon" Sting. Sting attacked The Jackson Brothers before eating a chair shot from Perry, but Sting ate that chair shot and made Perry run away. Sting then hit a Double Scorpion Death Drop on The Jackson Brothers before getting Allin out of the Coffin.

AEW World Championship vs. Career: Swerve Strickland (c) (w/ Prince Nana) vs. Bryan Danielson.

The main event of the show began with Danielson & Strickland locking up, with Danielson locking in a head scissors but Danielson escaped. Danielson & Strickland hit chops on each other before Strickland hit a hip toss. Strickland went for a Suplex, but Danielson reversed it mid-air with a knee strike before kicking Swerve’s ribs. Swerve then sent Danielson to the outside with a Catapult before going for a Tope, but Danielson evaded before hitting Strickland with a Springboard Cannonball on Strickland. Back in the ring, Danielson hit a diving knee strike on Strickland before stomping his arm and hitting a chop on Strickland. Danielson had Strickland in the corner before flipping over Strickland, but Strickland caught him with a Tilt-to-Whirl Backbreaker and a Suplex on Danielson. Strickland targeted Danielson’s knee, hitting a shotgun dropkick on Danielson’s leg before wearing down Danielson’s arm with a double knee drop on his left arm.

Swerve climbed to the top rope, but Danielson cross-chopped Swerve off the top rope and exchanged strikes before locking in a rope-assisted Triangle Choke; however, Strickland caught Danielson and swung Danielson onto the referee’s head, leading Strickland to hit a Death Valley Driver on Danielson onto a bell, busting Danielson open. Danielson got in the ring, but Strickland hit a diving forearm on Danielson before hitting the Griddy. Strickland teased hitting the Yes Stomps, but instead rolled Danielson to hit the stomps right in front of Danielson’s family, in the horror of Danielson’s children. Strickland continued to attack Danielson’s open wound before getting Danielson on the top rope and hitting an Avalanche Olympic Slam.

Swerve went for the Swerve Stomp, but Danielson evaded and locked in the Regal Stretch on Swerve. Swerve bit Danielson’s arm to break the hold before hitting a Rolling Upkick, but Danielson responded with a vicious lariat on Strickland. Strickland went for an uppercut, but Danielson reversed it with a backslide before hitting a running kick. Danielson then hit the YES Dropkicks on Strickland in the corner, but Strickland caught Danielson mid-run with a Rolling Flatliner for a near fall. Danielson went for a Victory Roll, but Swerve evaded before going for a pin; however, Danielson evaded before hitting a Tiger Suplex on Strickland. Danielson then hit the Yes Kicks on Strickland’s chest before hitting a roundhouse kick on Strickland. Danielson continued to target Strickland’s back before hitting an Avalanche Tiger Suplex on Strickland for a near fall.

Now it was time to kick’s Swerve’s fucking head in. Danielson hit the Head stomps on Strickland before locking in the Cattle Mutilation in the center of the ring, but Strickland got on his feet and reversed the hold with the Verta-breaker. This led to the referee calling two doctors to check on Danielson, but Strickland chased the medical team away. Strickland got on the top rope and hit Danielson with the Swerve Stomp to try and pick up the win, but Danielson kicked out at two. Strickland was unfazed by Danielson firing back and hit two House Calls on Danielson. Danielson tried to reach to his family, but Strickland responded by hitting a third and final House Call to try and pick up the win, but Danielson moved his shoulder to kick out as the crowd exploded.

Strickland was livid and he continued to hit the Yes Kicks on Danielson, but Strickland killed the man and awakened the Dragon. Danielson hit two vicious slaps and hit a series of kicks before locking in a Triangle Choke before transitioning into a Shoulder Capture Suplex on Strickland. Danielson got back up and hit the Busaiku Knee, but Strickland brushed it right off before hitting a fourth House Call. Strickland picked Danielson back up and hit the JML Driver on Danielson to try and get the win, but Danielson was kicked out as the crowd and Danielson’s family roared. Strickland got up and started “taunting” the Yes Chants, but “Hangman” Adam Page appeared to attack Prince Nana. An army of security guards swarmed Page, which allowed Strickland to get distracted, allowing Danielson to hit a Busaiku Knee for a near fall. Danielson & Strickland got in a Greco-Roman Lock Up while exchanging strikes, but Strickland responded with two headbutts. Strickland continued to lay in the strikes, but Danielson hit another Busaiku Knee on Strickland to rock his head. Danielson then hit the Busaiku Knee on the back of Strickland’s neck before locking in the LeBelle Lock. Strickland broke the grip, but Danielson snapped Swerve’s arm before locking in the Brutalizer on Strickland. With nowhere to go, Strickland tapped out, to crown Danielson the AEW World Title. With his fellow Dragon Gate USA comrade, his fellow Blackpool Combat Club stablemates Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli, and his family, The American Dragon stood tall to end the broadcast.
