AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen (1/1/25) Results: Adam Copeland Teams With FTR As AEW Comes To Max

On January 1, All Elite Wrestling hosted its latest episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS. This is also the first episode that will be simulcast on the Max streaming service.

This week's episode is the Fight For The Fallen special taking place in Asheville, North Carolina, to benefit the victims of Hurricane Helene

  • FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) & Adam Copeland vs. The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli)
  • Julia Hart vs. Jamie Hayter
  • 3-Way For #1 Spot In Casino Gauntlet Match at AEW Dynamite on January 8 - Roderick Strong vs. Jay White vs. Swerve Strickland
  • Orange Cassidy vs. Hangman Page
  • Jeff Jarrett makes an announcement
  • Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) vs. The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens)

Live Coverage

-The show has a new intro featuring the song "I'm So Excited." Incredible.

- A promo from Jon Moxley after AEW Worlds End kicks off the show. This is followed by a promo from Adam Copeland and FTR. Cope says that MOX is afraid of him because she knows that he's just sick as he is, if not sicker.

* Hangman Page def. Orange Cassidy

- Page continued beating up Cassidy. Christopher Daniels comes out trying to stop this chaos, he gets assaulted by Hanger.

- Switchblade Jay White cuts a promo backstage where he vows vengeance on Wheeler Yuta and says he will win his match tonight.

* Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) def. The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens)

- It's a quick match that basically sees Bowens, fed up with Caster's attitude, throw him to the wolves and watch him get taken apart by Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin before walking off after the match.

- Swerve Strickland cuts a promo hyping his match with Roderick Strong and Switchblade.

* Julia Hart def. Jamie Hayter

- Julia got the win by using poison mist in the eyes of Hayter.

- A video package recaps the latest issues between Kyle Fletcher and Will Ospreay.

- A Kenny Omega vignette plays. He returns to Dynamite next week.

- A Kazuchika Okada vignette sees him as how many times he has to beat Kenny Omega.

- Mercedes Mone hosts a quick champagne celebration. She shows a video package dedicated to herself and has some words for Mina Shirakawa, whom she will face at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty,

- A video package goes through all of the charities in Asheville that this show is benefiting and there's footage of Dax Harwood giving out checks to different charity representatives.

- Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O'Reilly are backstage. They say that this is the year of Undisputed Kingdom and they have all their bases covered. However, next week it's every man for himself in the Casino Gauntlet.

* 3-Way For #1 Spot In Casino Gauntlet Match at AEW Dynamite next week - Jay White def. Roderick Strong and Swerve Strickland

- Ricochet attacked Strickland with scissors, bloodying him up, and continued to brutalize him after the match. Undisputed Kingdom chased off Ricochet.

- Jeff Jarett is gifted his boots by his wife, Karen Jarrett, backstage. He comes out to the ring and runs down the history of his family in wrestling. He builds the anticipation before revealing that he's not retiring but he has signed his last contract as a wrestler and wants to be the World Champion in AEW.

* Powerhouse Hobbs def. Jon Cruz & Rob Killjoy

Big Bill and Bryan Keith are interviewed by Alex Marvez backstage. Marvez asks about Jericho's whereabouts. Bill and Keith get distracted by Copeland and FTR. There is a brief confrontation and a challenge for a Trios Match this Saturday.

- A tribute graphic to Sweet Daddy Siki is briefly shown.

- MJF post-show promo from AEW Worlds End plays: He says his issues with Adam Cole are finished and now he's focused on regaining the AEW World Championship.

* FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) & Adam Copeland def. The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli)

- Jay White popped up near the end to drop Yuta with a Blade Runner. Cope hit a Spear for the win.
