Good evening Fight Fans, we hope you're ready for the weekend with tonight's edition of IMPACT Wrestling on the Pursuit Network and Twitch TV!
-We open tonight's show with a video package recapping last week's show.
X-Division Championship Match
Jake Crist (c) Aiden Prince
Jake and Aiden wring each others arms before Aiden takes Jake down and puts him in a headlock before Aiden dropkicks Jake out of the ring. Jake catches Aiden with a kick when he goes for a suicide dive before hitting a DVD onto the apron and rolling him back into the ring for a near fall before hitting a side Russian leg sweep into a submission. Aiden breaks free and Jake drops him with a boot for a two count before they exchange strikes and Jake scrapes his forearm across the face of Aiden in the corner before choking him. Jake hits a back suplex and sends Aiden into the corner before hitting him with shoulder thrusts and stomps until he drops him with several kicks for a near fall. Aiden hits a diving flat liner for a near fall before he goes for a 450 and Jake gets his knees up for a near fall before Aiden hits a reverse huricanrrana for a near fall.
Jake hits a powerslam into the corner before Aiden rolls out of the ring and drives Jake into the apron when he goes out after him and hits a huricanrrana off of the apron and down onto the floor. Aiden hits a suicide dive and goes for a dive off of the top before Jake superkicks him in midair and rolls back into the ring, content with a count out. Aiden gets in at the count of nine before Jake sets him on the top turnbuckle and Aiden shoves him away before Jake crotches him and hits a superplex. Aiden then hits a brainbuster into a 450 for a very close near fall before he goes for another dive and Jake hits a cutter in midair ala Randy Orton for the pin and the win.
Winner: Jake Crist retains his X-Division Championship by defeating Aiden Prince via pinfall with a cutter.
-We go backstage where Konnan is talking to Daga ahead of he and Ortiz's title challenge against The North in tonight's main event, Ortiz showing up after a few minutes, visibly drunk before he, Daga and Konnan toast as we go to commercial.
-Jimmy Jacob's interviews Taya Valkyrie ahead of her title defense against Havok later tonight.
Ace Austin vs Eddie Edwards
Eddie chases Ace around ringside and drops him with a back elbow once they're in the ring before Ace gets out of the ring and Eddie hits a suicide dive. Ace comes back and rolls into the ring away from Eddie to rest for a moment before he rolls back out and focuses on Eddie, but it backfires when Eddie drops him across the apron and railing before chopping him around ringside. Eddie rolls Ace back into the ring and clotheslines him before headbutting him as we go to commercial.
Eddie is in control as we return from the break before Eddie shoves the referee away and Ace hits him between the legs with his rod for a near fall before he gives Eddie a papercut with a playing card and rocks Eddie with forearms and a high knee. Eddie hits a powerbomb and drops Ace with several forearms before Ace mocks Eddie and Eddie hits a shining wizard before beating on Ace until he's disqualified.
Winner: Ace Austin defeats Eddie Edwards via disqualification.
-Eddie's wife Alissa comes out after the match and makes Eddie leave before we get a video package for Tessa Blanchard's continued saga with Sami Callihan.
-We get a video from earlier today of Moose confronting Fallah Bahh in catering before they brawl until Moose humiliates Bahh and leaves.
Alexia Nicole vs Madison Rayne
Madison backs Alexia onto the corner for a clean break before Alexia hits her with forearms and hits a shotgun dropkick before hitting a snapmare into a running meteora for a two count. Madison trips Alexia and drags her out of the ring before she gets back in and Madison locks in a cravat before Alexia gets free and they exchange forearms until Alexia hits a back stabber for a near fall. Madison then hits a cutter into a cross Rhodes for the pin and the win.
Winner: Madison Rayne defeats a local performer via pinfall with a cross Rhodes.
-After the match she argues with Kiera Hogan before Kiera and Madison take turns beating on Alexia until she's saved by Jordynne Grace who clears the ring.
Knockouts Championship Match
Taya Valkyrie (c) vs Havok
Taya uses Havok's aggression against her until she's just overpowered by Havok and John E. Bravo distracts her at ringside before Taya hits running knees and stomps Havok for a quick two count. Havok counters a huricanrrana into a sit-out powerbomb for a two count before Taya counters a DVD and Havok drops her with a boot before playing to the crowd. Taya gets a near fall off of a sunset flip before Havok hits a chokeslam that turns Taya inside out and Havok is distracted by Su Yung and her army of undead bridesmaids.
Winner: Match is thrown out and Taya retains her championship.
-They square off after the match and Su applies the mandible claw before she escapes and Su knocks her off of the apron before an enraged Havok leaves up the ramp.
-We get an extended interview with the wife of Brian Cage about his current physical and mental well-being and everything he's gone through since becoming the IMPACT World champion.
-The Desi Hit Squad confront the Deaners at a bar before everyone brawls until the Deaners get the upper hand and scare Gama away before having a toast and getting hit with bottles by the DHS.
Stone Rockwell vs Local Talent
Stone steps on his opponent and tosses him across the ring before his opponent is gored by Rhino out of nowhere and the referee throws the match out when he gores Stone as well.
Winner: No contest due to interference by Rhino.
-Rhino calls out Michael Elgin after the ring before he comes out to the stage and talks about everyone he's faced has ended up in the hospital and so will Rhino if they have a match before Michael says he'll face Rhino on his terms. Rhino then rushes Michael and they brawl until they're separated by several security and officials.
-Sami Callihan and OvE cut a promo on Tessa Blanchard and Tommy Dreamer.
IMPACT Tag Team Title Match
The North (c) vs LAX (Ortiz & Daga) w/Konnan
Ortiz and Ethan kick the match off before Ortiz drives Ethan into the corner and Ethan drops him with a boot before Ortiz hits a powerslam for a quick two count. Daga and Ortiz double up on Ethan before Ethan rolls to the corner and Josh tags in before sending Ortiz out of the ring and Daga sending him out of the ring with a huricanrrana into a baseball slide and a flipping senton onto The North at ringside. Back in the ring Daga suplexes Josh for a quick two count and the two chop each other until Ethan trips Daga and stomps him in the corner before dropping Daga with a back elbow. The North stomp Daga and keep him far away from Ortiz until he finally comes back and makes the tag to Ortiz who chops Josh and hits a shotgun dropkick into a slingshot DDT. Ortiz hits a flopping dive for a two count and Daga hits a diving stomp before Ortiz hits a DVD for a near fall. The North take out Ortiz on the apron and Ethan hits a moonsault to Daga for a near fall before Daga superkicks Josh for a near fall and Daga hits a double missile dropkick. Josh then nearly knocks Ortiz out before The North hit their finisher of a burning hammer into a spinebuster for the pin and the win.
Winner: The North retain their IMPACT Tag Team championship by defeating Ortiz and Daga via pinfall when they pin Ortiz.
