IMPACT Wrestling Results for 9/8/20 The World Class Maniac Begins His Reign

Hey Fight Fans, it's time for tonight's edition of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV and Twitch.TV!

- We open tonight's show with the newly crowned World champion Eric Young who comes out to the ring to address his victory over and subsequent attack on Eddie. Eric talks about how he is inevitable before he's interrupted by Alisha Edwards who says that he's a coward. Alisha says that Eddie will come back and take what's his before saying that she's not afraid of Eric. Alisha slaps Eric when he says that he doesn't care what he did to her family before he goes to piledrive her. Tommy Dreamer then comes our and saves Alisha and runs Eric off with a kendo stick before challenging Eric to a match later tonight.

- We go to Josh and Madison who break down the rest of tonight's show as we go to commercial.

- We come back to Taya, John and Rosemary talking about John and Rosemary's wedding before Rosemary teleports away and Taya enthusiastically gives John ideas. 

TJP vs Chris Bey

They start as soon as TJP enters the ring and TJP hits a high angle back suplex before Chris takes TJP down. Rohit makes his way down to ringside before Chris drops TJP with a back elbow and beats him down in the corner. TJP hits a head scissors into a wrecking ball dropkick before tossing Chris back inside and Chris uses the referee as a shield. Chris then rakes the eyes of TJP and drops him with a discus clothesline as we go to commercial.

We come back to Chris in control until TJP gets two off of a back slide and stretches Chris with a submission. Chris comes back and kicks TJP in the back of the head for two before locking in an abdominal stretch. TJP hits a back drop driver and an inverted atomic drop into a springboard cross body before hitting a series of suplexes. TJP goes up top and misses a senton, but rolls through it before Chris rocks him with a kick and hits an inverted F5 for a near fall. TJP then pins Chris with a sunset flip for the win.

Winner: TJP defeats Chris Bey via pinfall.

- We get this week's Locker Room Talk with Susie and Kylie Rae before they're interrupted by Knockouts champion Deonna Purrazzo and Kimber Lee who challenge them to a tag match next week.

- We come back to a video package for Eric Young before we go to Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz giving their input on John and Rosemary's wedding plans.

- Brian Myers comes out to the ring and calls out Willie Mack before he comes out and the two have an impromptu match.

Brian Myers vs Willie Mack

Willie drops Brian repeatedly before sending him out of the ring and hitting a slingshot cross body to the outside. Willie tosses Brian back inside, Brian crawling out of the ring before driving Willie into the apron when he drags him out. Brian rolls Willie back inside and punches him in mount before locking in a rear chin lock. Willie gets to his feet and comes back with a scoop slam into a jumping leg drop for two. Willie hits a Samoan drop into a standing moonsault for a near fall before hitting a powerbomb.

Willie then lays into Brian with strikes in the corner before Brian low blows him and hits a DDT for the pin and the win.

Winner: Brian Myers defeats Willie Mack via pinfall.

- We get a backstage interview with Jordynne Grace who says that Tenille doesn't deserve a title match before she, the interviewer and the camera man go off to find Tenille. Jordynne then talks to Tenille's personal photographer before we get a graphic that says Tenille will return next week as we go to commercial.

- Taya tells Kiera and Tasha to stay out of the wedding before Taya and Tasha agree to a match later tonight. 

IMPACT World Tag Team Championship Match

Motor City Machine Guns (c) vs The Rascalz (Dez & Wentz)

The Rascalz clear the ring and hit stereo topes before the match starts and double up on Alex in the ring. Once Alex rolls out of the ring Dez and Wentz double up on Chris for two before The Rascalz start chaining together offense and tags. Alex gets the blind tag and hits a dragon screw to Wentz before kicking his now injured leg. MCMG focus on the leg of Wentz until Alex locks in a submission on Wentz and Chris one on Dez to keep him from breaking up the hold. Dez gets free and hits a standing shooting star press to break up the hold on Wentz before Wentz drops Chris with an enzuigiri.

Dez gets the hot tag and rocks Chris before hitting a snap mare into a dropkick to the spine into a super kick for two. Everyone hits a move before the Rascalz hit a meteora back breaker for two. The Rascalz hit a super kick into a rip cord knee before Chris avoids the Hot Fire Flame. MCMG then hit Wentz with a flurry of moves before hitting him with their finisher for the win.

Winner: Motor City Machine Guns defend their IMPACT World Tag Team Championships by defeating The Rascalz via pinfall.

- The North come out and attack MCMG after the match before MCMG come back only to be attacked by Madman Fulton and Ace Austin. The four men left standing then work together before The Good Brothers come out and help The Rascalz and MCMG clear the ring.

- We get a backstage promo by RVD where he announces a new segment with him and Katie starting next week called The Whole F'n Talk Show as we go to commercial.

- We come back to a promo by Sami Callihan who promises that he won't hack RVD and Katie's show before saying that he has something else in mind.

Tasha Steelz w/Kiera Hogan vs Taya Valkyrie w/John E. Bravo

They brawl to start the match before Taya drops Tasha with a shoulder block and they run the ropes before Taya hits an arm drag. Taya hits a running uppercut in the corner into a snap mare and a basement dropkick for two before Kiera grabs the foot of Taya. Tasha drops Taya from behind off of the distraction before Tasha rocks her with an uppercut into a neck breaker for two. Taya hits a sit-out powerbomb before getting distracted by John who's on the phone and drops Tasha with a knee for two. Tasha rocks Taya with a forearm before hitting a running boot in the corner only for Taya to spear her.

Taya then hits the Road to Valhalla for the pin and the win.

Winner: Taya Valkyrie defeats Tasha Steelz via pinfall.

- Tasha and Kiera attack Taya from behind after the match before John runs them off and Taya is furious with John as we go to commercial.

- We come back to Moose looking for EC3 before we get this week's IMPACT+ Flashback Moment of the Week before we gets a graphic for our main event as we go to commercial.

- We come back to Rhino talking to Heath outside about what Heath needs to get signed by IMPACT.

- We get graphics for next week's matches with a Taya versus Kiera Hogan, The Rascalz and MCMG versus Austin, Fulton and The North as well as  Knockouts tag match, XXL vs The Deaners and Brian Myers versus Willie Mack before we go back to the ring for our main event.

IMPACT World Championship Old School Rules Match

Eric Young (c) vs Tommy Dreamer

Tommy side steps and hip tosses Eric before slamming him to the mat and hitting him with a kendo stick. Tommy clotheslines Eric over the top rope and down onto the floor before Eric comes back momentarily. Tommy counters a piledriver onto the exposed concrete before hitting Eric with a street sign and a baking sheet. Tommy puts Eric on the top turnbuckle before Eric counters a superplex and slingshots Tommy throat first into the bottom rope. Eric hits Tommy with a baking sheet and a chair across the back before Tommy gets his boot up when Eric goes for a diving elbow drop with a chair.

Tommy hits a cutter and gets back to his feet where the two exchange until Tommy drops Eric with an elbow before following up with an elbow drop for two. Tommy breaks up a submission attempt by Eric with a kendo stick before sending Eric into a corner with a trash can wedged in the turnbuckles into a DDT. Tommy brings a table into the ring and sets it up in the corner before Eric low blows him. Tommy then crotches Eric on the top rope before Eric knocks Tommy out with his hockey mask and hits a piledriver for the pin and the win.

Winner: Eric Young retains his IMPACT World Championship by defeating Tommy Dreamer via pinfall.

- Eric attacks Tommy after the match before he's saved by Rich Swann on one leg as we go off the air.
