WWE Raw Results For 12/10/2018: Two Title Bouts, A TLC Match & Heath Slater Starts His New Job

WWE SmackDown (12/20) Records Decline In Average Viewership Against Indiana-Notre Dame CFB Playoff Game

- WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins is in the ring to start the show, Rollins says that “Burn It Down” is his new rallying cry. Rollins says he isn’t out here to call out Dean Ambrose, but to spit some truth about some recent events. Rollins then invites Raw GM Elect Baron Corbin to the ring and Corbin obliges, Corbin starts talking and Rollins tells him to shut up. Rollins says that the leadership on Raw has sucked because of Corbin, Corbin says Rollins should watch how he talks to him. Rollins claims that Corbin has no idea how to handle the talent on Raw, Corbin says all Corbin’s decisions have been made to mask insecurities. Rollins also questions where WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is, Rollins says everything is at an all time low because of Corbin.

Corbin says he doesn’t give a damn about what everybody thinks, Corbin says Raw is his show and he’ll be in charge for a very long time. Corbin says things are going to get worse for Rollins in the future, Corbin predicts that Ambrose will win at WWE TLC followed by Corbin winning later in the night. Corbin promises to put Rollins through hell once he becomes full time Raw GM, Rollins challenges Corbin to a match and Corbin turns it down. Rollins then challenges Corbin to a TLC Match tonight and Corbin says no to that as well, Rollins starts calling Corbin a coward and Corbin finally accepts the match. Corbin then says the match is going to be for the WWE Intercontinental Title.

- Charly Caruso interviews Seth Rollins backstage, who says he doesn’t regret calling out Baron Corbin and he cannot let Corbin get away with everything anymore.

Raw Tag Team Title Match
AOP (Rezar & Akam) & Drake Maverick (c) vs. Bobby Roode & Chad Gable

The match begins with AOP quickly attacking Gable with some double team moves, Rezar traps Gable in the ropes while landing a few strikes. Gable fights back and Rezar quickly drops him, Maverick tags in and he gets a near fall on a pin attempt on Gable. Rezar tags in and Gable sends both AOP to the arena floor, Roode tags in and he goes after Maverick with Gable. Roode and Gable propel Maverick out of the ring and onto AOP as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Rezar holding a downed Gable while twisting away on his head. Maverick tags in and he attacks Gable with a few strikes, Akam tags in and he attacks Gable alongside Rezar. Akam misses a charge to the corner and Roode gets tagged into the match, Roode then cleans house against the opposing team.

Roode leaps off the top rope and Akam catches him before landing a slam, Rezar tags in and he nails Roode with a knee strike for a near fall. Gable hits the ring and he gets wiped out by Rezar, AOP hit Roode and Gable with a Super Collider. AOP then hit Gable with their finisher before tagging Maverick in, Roode shocks Maverick with a roll up for a three count.

Winners: Bobby Roode & Chad Gable, your new Raw Tag Team Champions

- Highlights are shown of Dolph Ziggler defeating Drew McIntyre on last weeks Raw aired, followed by McIntyre’s attack on Finn Balor.

- Bobby Roode & Chad Gable are celebrating backstage when they are approached by Charly Caruso for an interview, Roode says he and Gable would win the titles if they put in the work.

- Natalya is in the ring and she has a microphone in hand, Natalya says that she loves pro wrestling and the WWE. Natalya says Ruby Riott has no respect for the business and made things personal when she destroys Jim Neidhart’s sunglasses, Natalya talks about everything she has overcome to make it into the WWE. Natalya says she’ll teach Riott some respect at WWE TLC and she is dedicating her match at WWE TLC to her late father, Natalya promises to put Riott through a table at the event. The Riott Squad eventually interrupts and they bring a table out with them, Riott mocks Natalya for being emotional in the ring. Riott says Natalya should get herself a counselor to talk with, Riott says that Natalya disgraces her family.

Riott says she has a gift for Natalya and the gift is a table with a picture of Natalya’s late father on it, Riott then promises to put Natalya through that exact table at WWE TLC.

- Dolph Ziggler cuts a selfie promo talking about how he beat Drew McIntyre last week, Ziggler promises to send McIntyre back into obscurity tonight.

- Charly Caruso interviews Drew McIntyre in the ring, McIntyre says nobody stays undefeated forever and says he is more dangerous now after being defeated last week. McIntyre says that he is making Raw a better place for everybody, McIntyre also says that everybody will also respect him.

Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler

The match begins with Ziggler attacking McIntyre with a plethora of strikes, McIntyre recovers and quickly drops Ziggler a few times. McIntyre follows a downed Ziggler around the ring while landing more strikes, McIntyre then hits Ziggler with an overhead belly to belly suplex as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see McIntyre meeting Ziggler on the top rope while landing more strikes, McIntyre then hits Ziggler with a super kryptonite crunch for a near fall. McIntyre then knocks Ziggler out of the ring and he follows him out there, McIntyre sets up for a suplex and Ziggler escapes to send McIntyre into the ring post. Ziggler goes for a super kick and he collapses before landing it, McIntyre mocks Ziggler and Ziggler shocks him with a Zig Zag for a near fall. Ziggler goes for a super kick and McIntyre counters with a Claymore kick for a three count.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

After the match, Drew McIntyre attacks Dolph Ziggler further by throwing him into the ring post and attacking him on the arena floor, WWE officials eventually come out to separate them.

- Highlights are shown of Rhyno getting fired after losing to Heath Slater last week, then Slater becoming the newest WWE referee.

Bayley w/Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox w/Jinder Mahal & The Singh Brothers

The match begins with Bayley and Fox backing each other into the corners, Bayley then hits Fox with a flying elbow strike for a near fall. Fox goes to the ring apron before dropping Bayley neck first on the top rope, Fox then drops Bayley before applying a chin lock. Bayley gets free and she nails Fox with a sliding clothesline, Bayley then hits Fox with a seroes of forearm strikes and a back suplex. Bayley backs Fox into the corner before landing multiple shoulder thrusts, Bayley then traps Fox in the ropes before landing a stunner. The Singh Brothers interfere and the distraction allows Fox to kick Bayley in the face, Apollo Crews hits the ringside area to attack the Singh Brothers and Jinder Mahal. Banks joins in on the fun and helps Crews attack everybody on the arena floor, Bayley hits Fox with a Bayley To Belly for a three count.

Winner: Bayley w/Sasha Banks

- Dean Ambrose is shown staring at a TV monitor backstage.

- Charly Caruso interviews Dean Ambrose, who says that he doesn’t want to be referred to as the “Lunatic Fringe” anymore before calling Seth Rollins a madman for what went down earlier tonight. Ambrose says that Rollins has an ego problem and always has to be the man, Ambrose says that Rollins stepped all over Roman Reigns and himself. A video package then airs highlighting the history of The Shield followed by Ambrose turning on Rollins, Ambrose says nothing after the video package airs.

- Elias is shown backstage.

- Elias is in the ring and he talks about a radio interview conducted earlier today with Bobby Lashley, Elias performs a song about Lashley and Lio Rush. Lashley and Rush eventually interrupt the song so Rush can have his match with Elias.

Elias vs. Lio Rush w/Bobby Lashley

The match begins with Rush doing his best to escape the grasp of Elias before eventually getting dropped, Elias then focuses his attack on the arm of Rush. Elias then tosses Rush across the ring, Elias then attacks Rush with chops before throwing him out of the ring. Elias gets Rush in the ring and Lashley tries interfering as Heath Slater’s back was turned, Elias gets back in the ring and he eats a few kicks from Rush. Elias catches a leaping Rush to land a sit out power bomb, Lashley interferes and he attacks Elias as Slater allows the attack to happen. Rush grabs Elias’ guitar and Lashley hits Elias with it, Rush then pins Elias for a three count.

Winner: Lio Rush w/Bobby Lashley

- Alexa Bliss is shown talking to a stagehand backstage.

- Baron Corbin talks to Heath Slater backstage, Slater wants to head home and Corbin says he has another match to officiate tonight.

- Alexa Bliss heads to the ring for a face to face with Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax, Jax and Tamina make their way to the ring first. Jax says she wants to make a statement before the face to face, Jax says she’ll win the Raw Women’s Title at WWE TLC. Jax says she doesn’t talk trash and she is Rousey’s worst nightmare, Jax says she’ll make Rousey tap out at WWE TLC. Rousey eventually interrupts and heads to the ring with a microphone in hand, Rousey says she came to fight and she quickly clears the ring just by entering it. Jax and Tamina look to go after Rousey until Ember Moon comes out to even the odds.

Ember Moon w/Ronda Rousey vs. Tamina w/Nia Jax

The match is joined in progress and we see Tamina nailing Moon with a few strikes, Moon fights back and she knocks Tamina out of the ring with a drop kick. Moon follows Tamina out of the ring and Jax gets in the way, Rousey comes over and she gets in Jax’s face. Moon and Tamina continue their battle in the ring, Tamina then knocks Moon out of the ring with a super kick. Moon gets back in the ring and Tamina traps her in the corner before landing an avalanche, Tamina holds Moon down while applying a chin lock. Moon gets free and Tamina drills her with a right, Tamina misses a charge in the corner and Moon takes her down with a head scissors. Moon then nails Tamina with a combination followed by a flat liner for a near fall, Tamina recovers and she hits a charging Moon with a power slam for a near fall.

Moon recovers and she hits Tamina with a super double knee strike, Moon goes to the top rope as Rousey goes after Jax. Moon then hits Tamina with a neck breaker followed by the Eclipse for a three count.

Winner: Ember Moon w/Ronda Rousey

- Charly Caruso interviews Baron Corbin in his office, who says tonight’s main event isn’t an abuse of power and he simply accepted Seth Rollin’s challenge for tonight.

Seth Rollins (c) vs. Baron Corbin

The match begins with Rollins nailing Corbin with a few strikes, Rollins traps Corbin in the corner while kicking away at him. Corbin fights back to hit Rollins with strikes of his own, Rollins then uses a knee strike to knock Corbin out of the ring. Rollins follows Corbin out of the ring before grabbing a steel chair, Corbin gets back in the ring and he keeps Rollins on the outside while landing a right. Corbin argues with the referee before eating a springboard clothesline from Rollins as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Corbin attacking a downed Rollins with some strikes. Corbin grabs a steel chair and he attacks Rollins with it, Corbin chokes Rollins while still attacking him with the chair.

Rollins rolls out of the ring and Corbin follows him out there before throwing him into the barricade a few times, Corbin grabs a ladder and Rollins drop kicks it into him. Rollins gets the ladder in the ring and he tries setting it up until Corbin attacks him from behind, Corbin then hits Rollins with a suplex onto a ladder. Corbin grabs a steel chair and he sets it up in the corner, Rollins fights back and Corbin drills him with a clothesline. Corbin then grabs a table and he sets it up in the corner of the ring, Rollins fights back again and Corbin quickly propels him out of the ring. Corbin sets up the ladder and he starts climbing it, Rollins gets up the ladder and he knocks Corbin off. Corbin gets Rollins off the ladder before throwing him into it, Corbin then knocks Rollins out of the ring as we go to a commercial break.

We return from the break to see Corbin avoiding a leaping Rollins before landing a Deep Six, Corbin stands over Rollins while landing some more strikes. Rollins fights back and he eventually stuns Corbin with an enzaguri, Rollins then sends a charging Corbin into a chair that was set up in the corner. Rollins grabs a steel chair and he attacks Corbin with it, Corbin rolls out of the ring and Rollins nails him with multiple suicide dives. Corbin catches a leaping Rollins and he choke slams him through a table on the arena floor, Corbin gets back in the ring and he sets up a ladder before climbing it. Rollins gets back in the ring and he attacks Corbin with a steel chair, Rollins accidentally nails referee Heath Slater with the chair. Corbin knocks Rollins out of the ring and he follows him out there, Rollins recovers and sends a charging Corbin into the ring steps before landing a thrust kick.

Rollins puts Corbin on a table and he goes to the top rope, Rollins lands a frog splash on Corbin that puts them both through the table. Rollins gets back in the ring and he starts climbing the ladder, Slater returns and he knocks Rollins off of the ladder. Slater goes to help Corbin and he gets him in the ring, Corbin starts climbing the ladder and Rollins returns to power bomb Corbin through another table. Rollins also takes Slater out as well before arguing with him in the ring, Rollins attacks Slater again and knocks him out of the ring. Rollins then hits Corbin with a curb stomp before climbing the ladder, Rollins grabs the title to win the match.

Winner: Seth Rollins, still the WWE Intercontinental Champion

After the match, Dean Ambrose comes out to have a stare down with Seth Rollins.
