MLW Fusion Results for 4/21/21 TJP vs Bu Ku Dao, Medina vs Romero

Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight's edition of MLW Fusion!

- We open tonight's show with a video package for tonight's grudge match between TJP and Bu Ku Dao in tonight's main event.

Gino Medina vs Rocky Romero

Rocky and Gino exchange wrist locks and standing switches as well as headlocks before Gino drops Rocky with a shoulder block before Rocky takes Gino down. Gino gets back to his feet before Rocky kicks his arm and focuses on it before they exchange strikes until Gino rakes the eyes of Rocky. Gino drops Rocky with a 540 kick for two before dropping him with a chop and kicking him in the spine before Rocky comss back with a spin kick and an eye poke. Rocky hits a baseball slide before tossing Gino back inside and sending him out onto the apron before trapping him in the ropes. Rocky hits a diving stomp for two before Gino counters a Shiranui and Rocky hits the Endless Clothesline until Gino drops him with a question mark kick for a near fall.

Rocky then comss back with kicks before Gino hits a snake eyes and Rocky hits a tornado DDT into a falcon arrow armbar for the tap and the win.

Winner: Rocky Romero defeats Gino Medina via submission.

- We get a backstage interview with Richard Holliday who reveals a new merchandise poster.

- We get a taped Spanish promo by the MLW World Tag Team champions Los Parks as we go to commercial.

- We get this week's top ten with Lio Rush, Tom Lawlor, and Alex Hammerstone at three, two, and one, respectively.

- We get a backstage interview with MLW World Middleweight champion Lio Rush who mocks Myron Reed's request at a rematch before saying that the title isn't going anywhere.

King Mo ( Dan Lambert) vs Robert Martyr

Mo takes Robert down before he gets to the ropes for the break and Mo powerbombs his way out of a triangle choke before choking him unconscious with a front choke.

Winner: King Mo defeats Robert Martyr via referee stoppage.

- After the match Mo says that he's going to break Low Ki in half the next time he sees him.

- We get a taped promo by Tom Lawlor where he talks about the Von Erichs and challenges Marshall to a match.

- We get a satellite interview with the CEO of Major League Wrestling Court Bauer where Court announces the rematch between Lio and Myron on May 5th. Court then says that they're closing the season that night before coming back in July with live crowds and a new roster of talent this summer. Court is then interrupted by Contra where Josef Samael cuts a promo and says that he can take MLW whenever he wants to and that Alex fears Mads Krügger and Jacob Fatu sits upon his throne for two years now.

- We get a taped promo by Marshall who accepts Tom's challenge to a match next week.

- The former Middleweight champion Myron Reed cuts a taped promo where he says that he's working harder than Lio to win his title back in two weeks time.

TJP vs Bu Ku Dao

The two lock up before TJP takes Bu down to use his superior submission skills and keep his strike oriented former protégé down to the mat before hitting a slingshot senton for two. TJP locks in a Gory special before turning it into a pin attempt for two before dropping Bu with an uppercut and Bu comes back with a diving cross body for two. TJP counters a sunset flip into a surfboard stretch before turning it into a pin attempt for a near fall before stretching Bu out again. Bu comes back with kick before hitting a suicide dive and tossing TJP back inside before dropping him repeatedly and hitting a bulldog. Bu rocks TJP with a flurry of strikes before TJP dropkicks him out of the air and hits a flap jack before Bu sends him off of the top.

TJP meets Bu up top and hits a superplex into an octopus stretch before Bu gets to the ropes for the break before the former student and pupil exchange strikes. The referee is then accidentally taken out before Bu hits a diving, spinning flatliner for the pin and the win.

Winner: Bu Ku Dao defeats TJP via pinfall.

- We get a brief press conference with National Openweight champion Alex Hammerstone where he says that he wants to unify the MLW World Heavyweight and the MLW National Openweight titles and that the ball is in Jacob Fatu's court as we go off the air.
