- Booker T. Huffman & Vic Joseph welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening match.
- Street Fight: Jaida Parker def. "Michin" Mia Yim via Pinfall (Hip Attack).
- Arianna Grace spoke with Karmen Petrovic about being heartbroken for not being on the card for NXT Heatwave because it was in her hometown. Jacy Jayne & Jasmyn Nyx made fun of them, leading to Petrovic challenging Jayne; however, Jayne completely disregarded Petrovic.
- There was a vignette for Je'Von Evans, where he talked about how big this opportunity for the NXT Title at Heatwave was for him, saying he would walk out as NXT Champion on his first PLE.
- There was a vignette for Kelani Jordan ahead of her title defense of the NXT North American Title against Sol Ruca at NXT Heatwave.
- New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne) def. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger via Pinfall (Spiral Tap from Bate on Ledger).
- There was a vignette for Shawn Spears, who said that while he was originally here to motivate the younger talent, he mentioned that he was now focused on finally winning the NXT Title to fulfill his destiny.
- Izzi Dame def. Brinley Reece (w/ Edris Enofe & Malik Blade) via Pinfall (Falcon Arrow).
- Chase University (Andre Chase, Duke Hudson, Thea Hail, Riley Osbourne & Ridge Holland) were backstage doing a lesson on Canada Day, but Hudson exploded and revealed that he cheated against The Good Brothers with an assist from Ridge Holland. Holland apologized to Chase U for not letting them know about the cheating, but Chase still decided to leave Holland out of NXT Heatwave.
- Lola Vice was in the ring and called out Roxanne Perez for their face-to-face. Perez, accompanied by two security guards, put over Vice for her growth in NXT but did make a point to say she had watched every move Vice had made since her run Bellator. Perez said there was no chance she wouldn't last two minutes in an NXT Underground, but wrestling was her dominant strength.
Vice then reflected on how her mom was a black belt when she got pregnant and went into MMA to provide for her family at 18, and wanted to dedicate her win to her mom. Perez appreciated Vice's story but said the call Vice wanted to make with her mom was the same call every one of her challengers wanted to make. Vice then refuted by saying she would finally prove she was the best to have transitioned from MMA to Wrestling and become the first Cuban-American World Champion ever. Vice then hit a back fist on one of the security guards. - Damon Kemp offered some brass knuckles for Myles Borne ahead of his match, but Charlie Dempsey told Borne to disregard him. Tavion Heights was bamboozled by the situation.
- Eddie Thorpe was speaking with Dani Palmer after his first DJ Set in years this past weekend, but Lexis King interrupted and made fun of Thorpe being an EDM Producer, saying Rock was real music.
- Oro Mensah (w/ Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson) def. Myles Borne (w/ Charlie Dempsey, Tavion Heights & Damon Kemp) via Pinfall (Leg Lariat).
- There was a vignette dealing the roads of Wes Lee and NXT North American Champion Oba Femi ahead of their match at NXT Heatwave. Femi put over Lee for his achievements in NXT but promised to crush Wes Lee's body and his dream.
- Gallus, Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe brawled backstage ahead. The match was later revealed to be removed from the card.
- As Brinley Reece, Edris Enofe & Malik Blade spoke about trying to find a new strategy, The Good Brothers (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) called out OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) to a match next week, promising to break their faces.
- Wendy Choo def. Carlee Bright (w/ Kendal Grey) via Submission (Cross-Jacket Sleeper).
- There was a vignette for NXT Champion Trick Williams, where he declared he would retain his NXT Title at NXT Heatwave.
- Shawn Michaels invited Brooks Jensen to meet with NXT General Manager Ava next week.
- Jazmyn Nyx (w/ Jacy Jayne) def. Karmen Petrovic via Pinfall (Pele Kick).
- NXT Tag Champions Axiom & Nathan Frazer spoke backstage, where Frazer said he needed to beat Xavier Woods on WWE Speed, but Axiom was frustrated because Frazer was losing his focus. Frazer said he would be on focus for their tag title defense on NXT Heatwave.
- Karmen Petrovic met with Ava, where she wanted a shot at Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx after their attack tonight. Ava booked her & Arianna Grace to face Nyx & Jayne at NXT Heatwave.
- Sol Ruca had a vignette ahead of challenging for the NXT Women's North American Championship, where she promised to win the title at NXT Heatwave.
- Trick Williams, Shawn Spears, Ethan Page & Je'Von Evans were part of a contract signing ahead of their match at NXT Heatwave. Page said he loved Williams's swagger but stated he could beat him but would take the title away. Spears said he appreciated Williams's passion, but said that it was his passion that would cost him the title. Evans then roasted Spears for never winning the title and although he respected Williams but was taking the title away from him. This led to a brawl, which ended when Williams put page through a table with a Flapjack while Evans tossed Spears from he middle rope through a table. Evans & Williams stood tall to end the broadcast.
