Good afternoon Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for today's edition of WWE NXT UK!
NXT UK Women's Championship Number One Contender match
Jinny vs Piper Niven
Piper goes right after Jinny with right hands before Jinny comes back with forearms in the corner before Piper hits a side Russian leg sweep into a senton. Jinny rolls out of the ring, Piper giving pursuit and beating on Jinny at ringside before Jinny sends Piper into the post. Piper gets back in at nine and Jinny chokes her on the mat while screaming at her before locking in the Iron Octopus. Joseph Conners makes his way out to ringside before Piper comes back with a series of clotheslines into a running cross body for two. Joseph gets in the way of Jinny and gets hit with a cannonball off of the apron at ringside before Jinny rolls Piper back inside.
Piper then catches Jinny coming off of the top before Joseph trips Piper and Jinny pins Piper for the win.
Winner: Jinny defeats Piper Niven via pinfall to become the new number one contender for Kay Lee Ray's NXT UK Women's title.
- We get a backstage promo by Pretty Deadly before we get a video package promo by Aoife Valkyrie as we go to commercial.
- We come back to a video package promo by Tyler Bate who talks about where he goes from here since losing to A-Kid.
- We get this week's Supernova Sessions with special guest Ben Carter, Dar asking Ben about carpentry before Ben corrects him and says that his name is Ben Carter. Dar complains to his writer since he has seven questions about cabinet design before asking Ben about his experience since joining NXT UK. Ben says that he's happy to be there, but he doesn't just want to be there, he wants to become a champion before they're interrupted by Jordan Devlin. Jordan asks how Noam decided to have him on the show rather than the NXT Cruiserweight champion. Dar says that he might bring Jordan on when he's not an interim champion before Ben tells Jordan that he is the true Cruiserweight champion.
Ben says that Jordan is the Ace of the division and the gatekeeper before saying that he should have no problem defending his title against him. Jordan offers Ben the opportunity to face Jordan later tonight before Ben accepts and Sid Scala shows up. Sid then says that he's going to talk to NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint and that they'll move some matches around to get the Cruiserweight title match for our main event.
- We get a graphic for NXT UK champion WALTER defending his title against A-Kid next week.
- We get a backstage promo by the NXT UK Women's champion Kay Lee Ray who says that Jinny can't get anything she wants and becoming champion takes talent and the belt belongs to her as we go to commercial.
Dave Mastiff vs Saxon Huxley
Dave and Saxon rock each other with clubbing blows before Dave hits a kitchen sink into a senton for two. Saxon backs Dave to the ropes before hitting a Thesz press and laying into Dave with punches in mount. Saxon hits running boots in the corner before locking in a rear chin lock and Dave fights out of a straight armbar before coming back with a high angle back body drop. Dave tosses Saxon across the ring for two before hitting Into the Void for the pin and the win.
Winner: Dave Mastiff defeats Saxon Huxley via pinfall.
- We get a video package promo by the NXT UK champion WALTER and the challenger for his title, the Heritage Cup Tournament champion A-Kid.
NXT Cruiserweight Championship Match
Jordan Devlin (c) vs Ben Carter
Jordan backs Ben into the ropes for a clean break before Jordan takes Ben down to the mat and the two exchange wrist locks and headlocks. Ben dropkicks Jordan out of the ring before Jordan hits a running leg drop and stands on the face of Ben before Ben gets two off of a roll up. Ben gets another two count off of a sunset flip before Jordan pancakes him for two before knocking Ben out of the ring. Jordan sends Ben into the steps and back inside before hitting a brain buster for a near fall before they run the ropes and hit each other with a running cross body. Ben sends Jordan out of the ring and hits a tope before rolling the champion back inside and hitting a twisting neckbreaker for a near fall.
Ben goes up top before landing on his feet when he misses a corkscrew before Jordan hits a Spanish fly for a near fall. Ben counters Devlinside into a destroyer for a near fall before Jordan catches him in midair and locks in the Four Leaf Clover before Ben gets to the ropes for the break. Jordan then holds on before Ben gets to the ropes a second time before Jordan hits Devlinside for the pin and the win.
Winner: Jordan Devlin retains his NXT Cruiserweight Championship by defeating Ben Carter via pinfall.
