WWE RAW (12/12/22) Results: Two #1 Contender Bouts Take Place

WWE Raw (12/12)

- Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss
- Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley
- IYO SKY vs. Candice LeRae

- To start the show, Bayley made her entrance with Damage CTRL. Becky Lynch would come out to run off IYO SKY and Dakota Kai, evening the odds for Alexa Bliss. Bianca Belair made her entrance for this match.

Number One Contenders Match: Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss

Early on in the match, Alexa is in full control. Before the first commercial break, Bayley would take to the floor and managed to get the advantage, slamming Bliss into one of the ring posts right in front of Bianca, taking us to commercial.

Bayley would go on to get several near falls including one with the Bayely to Belly. Bayley would try to get the advantage by taking off the turnbuckle pad of the middle post. Bianca would distract her and eventually, Bayley would get dropkicked into the exposed turnbuckle and Alexa would get the win with Twisted Bliss.

Winner: Alexa Bliss by pinfall.

- After the match, Bianca would celebrate with Alexa and suddenly, Bray Wyatt's symbol appeared on the Titantron, and briefly, Bliss became entranced and nearly dropped Bianca with Sister Abigail before Bliss came to her senses and profusely apologized leaving the ring.

- Footage replayed of Chad Gable and Otis being sprayed with milk by Kurt Angle on December 9's WWE SmackDown. Alpha Academy was approached by Byron Saxton and while they were being interviewed, they were interrupted by AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Mia Yim. AJ Styles says Karl Anderson is in Japan handling some business (he will be defending the NEVER Openweight Championship on December 14). Chad Gable says AJ Styles, like Kurt Angle, is a fossil. They will be wrestling next.

- An Austin Theory vignette plays.

AJ Styles vs. Chad Gable

Early on, both men trade the advantage. Before the next commercial break, the action spills to the floor. Otis is able to catch Chad Gable who was Back Bodydropped over the top rope. Gable catches Styles who was coming in for a sliding knee off the apron. Gable eventually slams AJ into the steel stairs to send us to the commercial.

Continuing on, both men would trade strikes. Chad would get a near-fall with a German Suplex. AJ Styles would eventually get a nearfall with a jackknife pin and then transition into the Styles Clash for the victory.

Winner: AJ Styles by pinfall.

- Johnny Gargano, Dexter Lumis, and Candice LeRae are backstage. Johnny and Dexter are going over plans Dexter drew on a whiteboard. Nikki Cross is shown in the background watching them.

- Judgment Day makes its entrance. Backstage, The Street Profits and Akira Tozawa are interviewed.

Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest & Dominik Mysterio w/ Rhea Ripley) vs. The Street Profits ( Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) & Akira Tozawa

There is a quick flurry of offense by the babyfaces but going into the next commercial break, Judgment Day has control. Back from break, Montez Ford briefly gets the advantage before the action goes to the outside and Priest sends him careening over the announce table. Back in the ring, Priest keeps control. Dom gets tagged in and hits The Three Amigos on Ford before tagging in Finn Balor.

Judgment Day continues to beat down Montez Ford until he is able to hit an Enzuigiri on Balor and tag in Angelo Dawkins. Dawkins takes over control before tagging in Tozawa. The action breaks down and everybody begins to hit their maneuvers. Tozawa hits a Suicide Dive on Dom and then two Jumping DDTs on Finn & Dom. Tozawa goes to the top, but he is pushed off by Priest, allowing Dom to get the pinfall victory.

Winners: Judgment Day by pinfall.

- Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis are shown heading the merch stand and buying all of the merch. They are headed to the ring to give away all of the merchandise they just bought. Dexter gives a child a teddy bear he just picked up from the merch stand to send us to commercial

- Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis give away some of the merch they purchased. Eventually, Miz arrives on the scene to steal back his money. Adam Pearce does not allow this and eventually, it is agreed that Miz and Dexter Lumis will meet in a ladder match for all of the money, going double or nothing. Also, The Miz must continue to give away gifts tonight dressed as an elf.

IYO SKY vs. Candice LeRae

On commentary, Bayley's headset refuses to work. Candice is in control headed to another commercial break but coming back from the break, SKY has the advantage. It is shown during the break, a variation of a Codebreaker to get the advantage. Candice eventually gets a near fall with a Tornado DDT, but SKY takes control with the Springboard Triangle Dropkick, and Candice gets a near fall with a Poison Rana on the arena floor. SKY gets a two-count with a German Suplex. SKY is able to avoid Candice's Top Rope Neckbreaker and hit the Moonsault for a victory.

Winner: IYO SKY by pinfall.

- The footage is shown of Elias and Matt Riddle being taken out last week.

- Elias asks for Kevin Owens' support. Kevin isn't very willing to be there for him after everything they've been through this year. Elias says he needs him and Kevin walks away flabbergasted.

Elias vs. Solo Sikoa

Sola Sikoa is able to get the victory after a superkick and a Spinning Solo. After the match, Solo continues to attack Elias and hits him with a Samoan Spike. Kevin Owens makes the save before Solo can hit a Running Hip Attack. Kevin Stuns Solo and then Stuns Elias.

Winner: Solo Sikoa by pinfall.

Rhea Ripley (w/ Dominik Mysterio) vs. Asuka

Both women go back and forth. When the action spills to the outside, Mysterio tries to protect Ripley. Asuka swings at him with a kick but he begs off giving Rhea Ripley the advantage. Rhea Ripley tries to nail Riptide but Asuka gets her in the Asuka Lock. Dom puts Ripley's what on the ropes and gets sprayed with mist for his troubles. Rhea hits Riptide for the victory. Afterward, she runs to the aid of Dom.

Winner: Rhea Ripley by pinfall.

- Dolph Ziggler cut a promo on Austin Theory telling him to watch his back.

- Dominik is shown receiving medical attention in the trainer's room.

Number One Contenders Match: Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley

Early on, Bobby Lashley uses his strength advantage to take it to Seth Rollins. The action spills to the floor and Lashley teases using the stairs but throws them to the side. Lashley back body drops Rollins into the crowd to set up for the final commercial break of the evening.

Back from the commercial, Seth Rollins is in control and both men exchange strong moves including Seth Rollins getting a near fall with a Falcon Arrow. Bobby Lashley, due to the strength of his neck, is able to avoid The Stomp. He gets Seth Rollins in The Hurt Lock and Rollins backs him up into the referee, Chad Patton, who escaped the outside but rolled his ankle while escaping. Lashley hits The Spear but because of the referee's delay, Seth Rollins kicks out. Lashley goes for another Spear but Seth Rollins reverses it into a Pedigree and gets the victory.

Winner: Seth Rollins by pinfall.

- After the match, Lashley corners Chad Patton and threatens to hit him. Another referee comes out and gets elbowed for his troubles. Adam Pearce comes out and tries to reason with "The All Mighty." Lashley decks Pearce and Pearce fires him to end the show.
