WWE Raw (8/26)

  • Bronson Reed vs. Braun Strowman
  • WWE Intercontinental Title Number One Contenders Tournament begins
  • Uncle Howdy vs. Chad Gable
  • Randy Orton to appear live
  • Update on the condition of The Terror Twins (Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest) following the attack from Judgment Day last week

WWE Raw (8/26) Results

- The show opened up with the new Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio, Carlito, Finn Balor, Liv Morgan & JD McDonagh) coming out and addressing The Terror Twins, Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley. Finn Balor said that what they went through last week will be nothing like what they are going to go through at the WWE Bash in Berlin. Morgan and McDonagh said more of the same. Mysterio said Morgan was allowing him to enter the Intercontinental Championship tournament. LWO (Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro) come out. Rey Mysterio says he wants to slap his son. Dom tries to say he's already beating his dad. The two teams start brawling, and a tag match is made.

* Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio, Carlito, Finn Balor & JD McDonagh w/ Liv Morgan) def. LWO (Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro)

- After the match, Judgment Day continued attacking the elder Mysterio, and they put Rey Mysterio on the announce table, but before Dom could deliver a frog Splash, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley ran out to make the save and brawled with the new Judgment Day. Dom and Morgan escaped, but Carlito and JD were the recipients of the South of Heaven and the riptide, respectively.

The IC Title Tournament will take place over the next several weeks. Four Triple Threats will compete, and the winners will face off in a four-way to determine the next contender. The Miz is interviewed about his involvement in this tournament, and he says he's focused on tying the record for the most times people have won the Intercontinental Championship. Bronson Reed is upset that he has removed all these people from active competition and is not in the tournament. He says that he's coming back for The Miz once he is finished with Braun Strowman.

- Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods discuss their involvement in the upcoming tournament. Kofi also says he wanted to clear the air about Odyssey Jones. They seem to be back on the same page.

* Damage CTRL (IYO SKY & Kairi Sane) def. Pure Fusion Collective (Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark w/Sonya Deville)

- Zelina Vega returned to attack Deville.

- A vignette featuring a promo from Uncle Howdy. Bo Dallas will be making his wrestling debut as Uncle Howdy tonight.

- Drew McIntyre came out and verbally insulted CM Punk. He made fun of Punk’s recent line and promos about how great it is to be alive in whatever given city WWE is in. McIntyre says CM Punk is not there. He calls the fans enablers for Punk. He makes fun of the 50 Cent bracelet he’s wearing and says that it means so much to punk. Punk appears and jumps McIntyre from behind with a leather strap. Eventually, they’re separated by security. Punk whips the security guards with the strap.

* WWE Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender Tournament: Jey Uso def. Karrion Kross and Kofi Kingston

- WWE aired this promo: Gunther: WWE Bash In Berlin Will Be Remembered As The Day Where Randy Orton Finally Met His Match

- Bianca Belair will be on the upcoming season of the Peacock series “Bel-Air.”

- Randy Orton cut a passionate promo about why this upcoming match means so much to him and why the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, in particular, means so much to him.+ He talked about his history with the retired title lineage, being the youngest to win the title and the man who had the honor of retiring it and unifying it with the WWE Championship. He said he would defeat Gunther and become a 15-time champion because he's defeated his demons, and they're all tougher than Gunther.

- Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre recorded a pre-taped promo. They claimed Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair received all the attention, but it does them no good when the bell sounds. Dawn and Fyre will prove their skeptics wrong in Berlin, retaining the tag championships.

* Bronson Reed vs. Braun Strowman ended in a no-contest.

- Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman brawled into the backstage area. Reed chucked a trash can at Strowman. Strowman destroyed some security guards, and they fought into the parking lot. The segment ended with Reed hitting a Tsunami on the hood of a car. Adam Pearce frantically tried to get the medical help.

* WWE Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender Tournament: Pete Dunne def. The Miz and Xavier Woods

- Bron Breakker cuts a promo explaining why neither Pete Dunn nor Jey Uso will defeat him for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

- Chad Gable is featured in this week's vintage vignette-style promo. He says that Uncle Howdy is just a man, and he knows the man behind the mask. He also says that once the bell rings, Uncle Howdy will realize why Chad Gable is American-made.

- The Terror Twins (Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest) cut a promo. They say if Judgment Day wants them to be the villains, they will gladly show them why they got to the top of WWE by being bad guys.

- The Sycho Sid (Sid Justice, Sid Vicious) tribute package airs.

* Uncle Howdy vs. Chad Gable

- The referee took a bump as Chad Gable had Uncle Howdy in Ankle Lock. Howdy got out of the move, pushing Gable into the referee. Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, and Ivy Nile show up and try to help Gable. Joe Gacy, Erick Rowan, and Nikki Cross of the Wyatt Sicks. came out to even the odds. Howdy cgot the victory with Sister Abigail. The show went off the air with him celebrating.
