WWE Raw (9/16/24) Results

- CM Punk kicks off the show. He explains that his sister and his wife do not want him to compete inside Hell in a Cell, but the devil on his shoulder advises him to do so. He says he's prepared to die and that he's prepared for this to be the end of CM Punk, and if Drew McIntyre is prepared for the end, he will see him in hell.

- Sheamus cuts a promo on Pete Dunne.

* Pete Dunne def. Sheamus

- Dunne got the win, cracking Sheamus with the cricket bat.

- Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest are talking about Bad Blood. They cross paths with Jey Uso. Uso tells Priest he'll be closely watching his match with Dominik Mysterio. That match is the main event. Xavier Woods shows up and asks everybody not to interfere in the World Tag Team Championship match. They all wish him luck and tell him to make sure the Judgment Day loses their titles.

* Natalya def. Zoey Stark

- A Rhea Ripley interview is interrupted by Finn Balor. Balor tells her that he's the one who advised Dom to go with Liv Morgan. Jey Uso interrupts this interaction and makes sure Ripley is okay.

- Jey Uso came out to talk about his Intercontinental Championship match with Bron Breakker next week. Breakker interrupted him and bragged about how he could do so much as a single superstar in 6 months when Jey hasn't done much in 14 years. They got in each other's faces, and Breakker went to strike but got hit with a Spear from Jey Uso instead

* WWE World Tag Team Championship: The Judgment Day (Finn Balor & JD McDonagh) (c) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods)

- LWO's Cruz Del Toro, Dragon Lee, and Joaquin Wilde came out to neutralize Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, and Carlito. This distracted the referee when Xavier Woods had the match won.

- Backstage, Xavier Woods was giving the LWO the business when Kofi had to stop him because he actually asked for their help. Xavier Woods became incensed because he didn't want any help, and he felt like Kingston was leaving him in the dark.

- Bronson Reed vs. Braun Strowman doesn't get started because the ring breaks immediately, and they fight around ringside. Reed throws a fan at Strowman, and they break the barricades around ringside. They fought backstage and continued to break tables until they broke through a wall.

- Back from commercial, medical personnel were still checking on the two monsters.

- Ludwig Kaiser sees Adam Pearce and asks if Pearce has found any suitable competitions for Gunther. Pearce says that Sami Zayn makes a compelling case, and both men begin to watch Sami walk to the ring on a monitor.

- Sami Zayn says he needs to be a world champion and believes that Gunther is scared of him. Kaiser comes out to interrupt him.

- Ludwig Kaiser questioned who Sami Zayn thought he was for challenging Gunther again. He said that WrestleMania was a miracle and miracles never happened twice. Sami Zayn told Kaiser that he thinks he and Gunther can go their separate ways and don't need each other. He also believes that Kaiser wants to prove himself. This draws out Gunther. Gunther asks Kaiser if there's anything he needs to say, and Kaiser attacks Sami. Gunther turns down Sami's challenge again. Kaiser gets too cocky and tries to attack Sami after Gunther leaves but gets his ass kicked for it.

* IYO SKY def. Bianca Belair.

- The match was set up earlier in the backstage segment. Kairi wasn't clear to compete due to her eye injury.

- American Made vignette plays.

- Ludwig Kaiser told Cathy Kelley that he planned to expose Zayn in the ring next week. Kaiser claimed Zayn wanted to talk about his history and loyalty, while Kaiser preferred to talk about Zayn's. Zayn was great friends with Kevin Owens, but they constantly turned on each other as the other became more successful. Zayn was resentful of his closest friend and himself because Owens was once a world champion, something Zayn would never be.

Ilja Dragunov was backstage talking to Jey Uso. The Judgment Day interrupted, and Finn Balor told Ilja to be careful who he made friends with. Dragunov said he has respect for Uso, but he can't say the same for Finn.

* Damiamn Priest def. Dominik Mysterio.

As soon as the match was over, the other members of Judgment Day immediately hit the ring. They attacked Ripley and Priest. Uso tried to make the save but was attacked by Bron Breakker. The night ends with Judgment Day standing tall.
