WWE RAW Results (11/14/22): Seth Rollins Defends US Title Against Finn Balor, Miz To 'Apologize'

WWE Raw (11/14)

- WWE US Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Finn Balor
- The Miz hosts Miz TV
- Matt Riddle vs. Chad Gable

- Seth Rollins kicks off the show. A highlight package plays everything that happened at the end of last week's episode. The crowd chants "That was stupid" in reference to Austin Theory trying to cash in the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase unsuccessfully. Seth Rollins says the United States Championship is the number one title on Monday Night Raw. Bobby Lashley comes out to tell Seth Rollins that he won't stop until he gets his title back. Mustafa Ali comes out with a referee and gets attacked by Bobby Lashley twice before Bobby agrees to a match.

Bobby Lashley vs. Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali starts the match hot with a running dropkick but Bobby Lashley quickly gets control and the action spills to the floor. Ali is rammed into the ring post as Bobby Lashley begins to dominate, throwing Mustafa Ali all around the ring. Mustafa Ali appeared to hurt his wrist after Lashley chucked him over the broadcast table. Mustafa Ali crawls into the ring but gets decimated with a Lift & Cutter, before Bobby Lashley pummels him in the corner, dropping him with a One-Armed Spinebuster. Mustafa Ali refuses to quit and Bobby Lashley does it again. Bobby Lashley misses a spear in the corner and Mustafa Ali connects with a Tornado DDT. The Tornado DDT literally does nothing. Bobby Lashley hits a Spear and finishes Mustafa Ali off with The Hurt Lock. Referees check on Mustafa Ali after the match.

Winner: Bobby Lashley by submission.

- The OC and Mia Yim talk to Cathy Kelley backstage. AJ Styles challenges Finn Balor to a match at WWE Survivor Series. Karl Anderson reveals that Mia's nickname is Michin, which means crazy in Korean.

Mia Yim vs. Tamina Snuka

Rhea Ripley comes out With Dominik Mysterio to watch this match. Tamina Snuka barely puts up a fight. Mia Yim wins with Eat Defeat. Afterward, Rhea Ripley teases that she's going to come inside and fight Mia, but she walks away.

Winner: Mia Yim by pinfall.

- Matt Riddle arrives backstage with his bong(os) and explains that Elias is not here Because he's busy booking their next gig as a band. Chad Gable interrupts and says that he will beat Riddle tonight.

Back from a commercial break, Mia Yim is walking backstage after her match and runs into Damage CTRL. They want her to join them at WWE Survivor Series inside of WarGames. Mia politely declines because she has no beef with any woman on the other side of the match. Damage CTRL aggressively tells her to think about her decision. The O.C. Arrived on the scene to break the tension.

Matt Riddle vs. Chad Gable (w/ Otis)

Early on, Chad Gable gets the advantage with a massive German Suplex from the top rope to send us into another commercial break. Back from break, Chad Gable briefly has control before Matt riddle is able to mount a comeback and suddenly, there is an exchange of strikes with dueling chants of "shoosh" and "bro." Matt Riddle maintains control and gets a near fall with Final Flash. Chad Gable vs. the Bro Derek into an Ankle Lock. Riddle breaks free and locks in a Jumping Triangle. Gable breaks free and gets a near fall after a cliffhanger DDT. Matt Riddle goes for Randy Orton's signature offense but Chad Gable is able to get the win with a back slide as Otis gives him extra leverage by holding down his feet.

Winner: Chad Gable by pinfall.

- Backstage, Baron Corbin and JBL playing poker. Akira Tozawa arrives and wants to play a hand. He's never played before and puts on reflective sunglasses

- Out comes The Miz, dressed like Mizter Rogers. He will apologize on Miz TV after the commercial break.

Byron Saxton is hosting. The Miz tries to read a prepared statement but the crowd is chanting for Mr. Rogers. The Miz says he regrets paying Dexter. The Miz says he was just looking for empathy because the people have never cheered him or given him a pat on the back. "I have asked for very little, but Dexter, he kept taking and taking until I couldn't see any end in sight," said The Miz explaining why he wanted to put a stop to Dexter's greediness. The Miz says he tried to spin the story so Hollywood would buy the rights. Johnny Gargano interrupts.

Johnny Gargano says The Miz wasn't depressed during the weekend, he was vacationing in Cabo, something he knows because Maryse posted pictures on Instagram. Johnny Gargano implores The Miz to do the right thing. Johnny Gargano says he is trying to expose The Miz as a compulsive liar. Johnny says Miz lying to himself if he thinks he's pulling off the Mr. Rogers look. The Miz apologizes. He says he's ready to move on but Johnny wants him to pay the money that he owes Dexter Lumis.

Johnny says in 2 weeks, The Miz will face Dexter Lumis and if Dexter wins, he has to get paid what he's owed and he gets a contract. Dexter's revealed as the cameraman of this segment and he tries to attack The Miz.

- Shelton Benjamin, earlier in the day, had a confrontation with Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest leading to a match between Mysterio and Benjamin

Shelton Benjamin vs. Dominik Mysterio (w/ Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest)

Dominik tries to get the quick Victory by rolling up Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin kicks out and traps Mysterio in an Ankle Lock. Rhea Ripley distracts the referee so that Damian can drag Dominic to the bottom rope. Shelton Benjamin confronts Priest. This allows Dom to send him careening into the post. Dominik hits a DDT and Frog Splash for the victory.

Winner: Dominik Mysterio by pinfall.

- Backstage, Austin Theory claims that the Money in the Bank briefcase was an anchor for him. Dolph Ziggler interrupts him. Austin Theory challenges him to a match.

Dana Brooke vs. IYO SKY (w/ Bayley, Dakota Kai, Nikki Cross)

Dana Brooke tries her best to be competitive, getting a near fall off a DDT. SKY would catch Dana Brooke off of a handspring back elbow attempt and hit a German Suplex. SKY eventually hits a Moonsault for the victory.

Winner: IYO SKY by pinfall.

- After the match, Mia Yim appears onstage to reveal that she has joined Bianca Belair's WarGames team at Survivor Series.

- Backstage, we see that Akira Tozawa has been cleaning up at the poker table. He will wrestle Baron Corbin tonight.

Austin Theory vs. Dolph Ziggler

Austin Theory has no cell phone with him. What started out as a competitive match completely shifts gear when Theory decked Dolph Ziggler when he attempted a Superkick Theory hits two A-Town Downs before going completely crazy and attacking DZ from the mount position. Dolph Ziggler with spell to the floor and then Theory would attack him outside and throw several chairs at him before being pulled away by officials.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler by DQ

- Rhea Ripley declares she will be a part of Bayley's WarGames team.

Baron Corbin (w/ JBL) vs. Akira Tozawa

Tozawa gets a small flurry of offense but Baron Corbin catches him coming off the top rope, hits End of Days, and gets the win.

Winner: Baron Corbin by pinfall.

- Backstage, it is announced that there will be a match next week to determine who will have the advantage going into the Women's WarGames at WWE Survivor Series.

- Finn Balor accepted AJ Styles' challenge for a match at Survivor Series.

WWE US Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Finn Balor

A back-and-forth match between two former WWE Universal Champions. Seth Rollins goes for a Pedigree. The rest of Judgement Day tries to come to the aid of Finn Balor. The O.C. and Mia Yim come out to even the odds. With the referee distracted, AJ Styles pushes Finn Balor off of the top rope. The O.C. and Judgment Day we're on our way from ringside. Seth Rollins hits a Curb Stomp for the victory.

Winner and still champion: Seth Rollins by pinfall.

- After the match, Austin Theory resurfaces to attack Seth Rollins, hitting him with A-Town Down and dropping him with the United States Championship belt. Theory poses with the United States Championship to close the show.
