WWE RAW Results (8/15/22): United States Title Match, Women's Tag Tournament Continues, And More

We will be bringing you the full results of tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw. On tonight's episode, Bobby Lashley will defend the WWE United States Title against AJ Styles. Also, the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship tournament continues. Additionally, Riddle returns to give an update on his status.

- WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Tournament: Alexa Bliss and Asuka vs. Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop

- The show opened with Judgement Day. They boasted over what they did to The Mysterios and Damian Priest said he would retire Edge next week. Rey Mysterio came out to attack them but was eventually overwhelmed. Finn Balor would hit the Coup de Grace to Rey Mysterio who had a steel chair on his chest.

WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Tournament: Alexa Bliss and Asuka vs. Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop

Bianca accompanied Asuka and Alexa. Asuka and Bliss had the early advantage going into the first commercial break. Alexa Bliss and Asuka were able to maintain control, scoring the victory with a succession of their finishing maneuvers on Doudrop with Asuka tapping her out with an octopus stretch.

Winners: Alexa Bliss and Asuka by submission.

- Backstage, Austin Theory returned. Dolph Ziggler interrupted his interview and said that when he was Mr. Money in the Bank, it mattered because he earned the briefcase. In response, Austin Theory said that, unlike Dolph Ziggler, he won't ruin the rest of his career after he cashes in the briefcase. Dolph Ziggler attacks Austin and they begin fighting into the commercial break. Back from the commercial break, highlights are shown of both men fighting throughout the commercial break in the backstage area.

- Highlights are shown of Bobby Lashley defeating Tommaso Ciampa in order to retain the WWE United States Championship last week.

- Tommaso Ciampa, in a backstage interview, says he will become a champion in his next opportunity. The Miz complains about AJ Styles being gifted a United States Championship opportunity. He also gifts Tommaso Ciampa a necklace featuring a photo of them. Ciampa and Miz are in action next.

Ciampa & The Miz vs. Cedric Alexander & Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander were going for a tag team finisher on The Miz when Tommaso Ciampa hold open the ropes making Cedric fall out of the ring. Mustafa Ali went for a 450 Splash on Miz when Tommaso Ciampa caught him with a running knee and hit The Fairy Tale Ending for the victory

Winners: Ciampa & The Miz by pinfall.

- A family photo is shown as Ezekiel was convalescing in a hospital bed. It is said that it will be a long time before he comes back.

- Drew McIntyre will be on Monday Night Raw next! As he was walking through the backstage area, there was more commotion ongoing, similar to last week.

- Drew McIntyre cut a promo talking about wanting to win the WWE Undisputed Championship. He says the reports of his back being hurt are because he’s had to carry the company on his back. He tosses out some future matches he can have for the titles, including against names like Ciampa, Karrion Kross, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles. Kevin Owens comes out to interrupt. Kevin Owen says he's found himself and he is going back to being the prizefighter and that every champion in WWE is a target. Drew McIntyre says that it's time for them to stop talking and start fighting because they are “wrestlers in a wrestling ring.”

Kevin Owens vs. Drew McIntyre

The action starts off quickly with Kevin Owens doing a DX crotch chop before hitting a cannonball. Eventually, Kevin Owens takes over control, hitting an apron splash onto Drew McIntyre who is laying on the concrete floor to take us to another commercial break.

Owens and McIntyre go back and forth in an absolutely tremendous match. Drew McIntyre appeared to have the advantage after hitting Kevin Owens with a Future Shock DDT and was set up for the Claymore Kick when Jimmy and Jey Uso interfered, causing Drew McIntyre to win by disqualification. Drew McIntyre was able to dispatch of The Usos but Kevin Owens was able to drop him with a Stunner and told The Usos that Roman Reigns owes him. Despite the advantages given to them by Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre still dropped both Usos again.

Winner: Drew McIntyre by disqualification.

- Riddle is shown being mic'd up for his interview. Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. Seth Rollins is excited that Riddle is going to announce his retirement. Riddle shows up on the Titantron to reveal that he is not retiring and he's actually in the building and medically cleared, and he runs down to the squared circle and beats up Seth Rollins, chasing him off into the crowd.

- A vignette is shown for AJ Styles vs Bobby Lashley tonight.

- Back from commercial break, Riddle officially challenges Seth Rollins to a match at WWE Clash at the Castle.

Veer Mahaan in action

Tonight, Veer’s victim was named Beaux Keller. Veer came in hot and overwhelmed the local competitor. A Lou Thesz Press, a Million Dollar Arm Lariat, and a Cervical Clutch submission victory.

Winner: Veer Mahaan by submission.

- Bobby Lashley vs. AJ Styles for the WWE United States Championship is next.

- Dakota Kai is interviewed by Sarah Schreiber. Dakota, IYO, and Bayley boast about eventually winning the tag team tournament. Dakota walked up to her opponent tonight, Dana Brooke, who said she's ready 24/7. Dakota Kai suggests that she should be scared.

WWE United States Championship: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. AJ Styles

Early on, The Miz and Ciampa came down to ringside. Bobby Lashley was dominating AJ Styles with his power offense. However, the match briefly cut to commercial abruptly because Dexter Lumis once again showed up through the crowd and was apprehended by security. By the time the match got back from commercial break, The Miz had been taken out by Bobby Lashley and both he and Ciampa were ejected from ringside by the referee.

The rest of the match would see AJ Styles and Bobby Lashley trading their best home but ultimately, Bobby Lashley was able to get the pinfall victory after hitting AJ Styles with a Spear.

Winner and still WWE United States Champion: Bobby Lashley by pinfall.

- Theory is shown getting ready in the backstage area. He will face Dolph Ziggler tonight.

Dakota Kai (w/ Bayley & IYO SKY) vs. Dana Brooke

Dakota Kai kicks off the match with a Pele kick. then, she hits Dana Brooke with a running face wash in the corner. She follows that up with Kawada-style kicks. Dana Brooke fires up and mounts some offense on Dakota, But ultimately Dakota Kai beats her with her running corner kick.

Winner: Dakota Kai by pinfall.

- A vignette airs for Edge versus Damian Priest next week. Next week will also feature the next match in the Women's Tag Team Championship Tournament

Theory vs. Dolph Ziggler

In the home stretch, Dolph Ziggler was able to hit the Zig Zag but Austin Theory kicked out at 2. Dolph Ziggler then went for a superkick, Austin theory was able to reverse. both men exchanged roll-ups but in the end, Austin Theory hit A-Town Down for the victory.

Winner: Austin Theory by pinfall.
