Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight's edition of WWE RAW!
- We open tonight's show with a backstage promo by Seth Rollins and Big E ahead of E facing Kevin Owens in a Steel Cage match and Seth challenging E for the WWE title at Day 1.
Steel Cage Match
Big E vs Kevin Owens
Kevin immediately tries to escape the cage repeatedly before E counters a stunner and Kevin boots him before E drags him back inside and beats on him in the corner before Kevin boots E again and tries to climb the top of the cage. E crotches Kevin on the top rope and Kevin climbs the side of the cage before E and Kevin exchange and E drives Kevin's head into the steel frame of the cage before E traps Kevin in between the ropes and cage. E then spears Kevin and sends him into the side of the cage before E misses a spear and spears the side of the cage as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Kevin attempting to escape the cage before hitting a moonsault for two and hitting a senton before E sends Kevin into the side of the cage before Kevin chokes E in the ropes and hits an avalanche sit-out powerbomb for two. E comes back with a series of suplexes before Kevin tries to crawl out of the ring and E stops him before Kevin superkicks E and hits a cannonball in the corner before locking in a Boston crab and E gets to the ropes. Seth then runs by from and smashes the door into the face of E when he tries to crawl out of the cage as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to E stopping Kevin from climbing out of the top of the cage before Kevin hits a frog splash off of the top for two before E hits a uranage for two before E counters a spear and Kevin hits a pop-up powerbomb for two. E then knocks Kevin off of the top before crawling out of the ring for the win.
Winner: Big E defeats Kevin Owens via pinfall.
- After the match Seth immediately attacks E from behind and lays him out before attacking Kevin in the ring and E saves Kevin from a stomp before hitting Kevin with the Big Ending as we go to commercial.
- We come back from the commercial to E, Kevin, and Seth laying around ringside before we see that Bobby Lashley attacked everyone during the break and left them in the state they are currently in.
- We get the announcement of a RAW Tag Team Championship Number One Contender Tournament.
Queen Zelina (w/ Carmella) vs Nikki A.S.H. (w/ Rhea Ripley)
Nikki and Zelina lock up for a clean break before Zelina rips Nikki off of the top and chokes her in the ropes when she tries to crawl out of the ring before the two exchange pins until Nikki comes back with clotheslines and a bulldog. Zelina stacks Nikki up with her feet on the ropes before the referee calls her out on it and Nikki drops her before going up top and missing a diving cross body before Zelina hit a code red for the pin and the win.
Winner: Queen Zelina defeats Nikki A.S.H. via pinfall.
- Backstage RK-BRO are interviewed about the new number one contender tournament as we go to commercial.
WWE RAW Tag Team Championship Number One Contender Tournament First Round Match
Street Profits vs AJ Styles & Omos
AJ and Angelo start the match off before AJ sends Angelo out of the ring and knocks Montez off of the apron as we go to commercial with AJ and Omos in control, Omos having yet to enter the match.
We come back from the break as Omos enters the match and man handles Angelo before AJ comes back in and Angelo comes back strikes before getting the hot tag to Montez. Montez drops AJ repeatedly before suplexing him and getting caught with a boot in the corner before hitting a flying clothesline and SP knock Omos off of the apron. AJ sends Angelo out of the ring and hits Montez with several kicks and a suplex before Angelo pulls AJ off of the top and Omos takes him out at ringside. Omos then fails to get back into the ring in time and is counted out for the win for SP.
Winner: Street Profits defeat AJ Styles and Omos via count out to advance to the next round of the tournament.
- We get a backstage interview with Becky Lynch ahead of her title defense later tonight against Liv Morgan.
WWE United States Championship Match Damian Priest vs Robert Roode (w/ Dolph Ziggler)
Damian rocks Robert with strikes before dropping him with a boot and driving his knee into his midsection in the corner before rocking Robert with a forearm and missing a splash in the corner. Dolph then distracts Damian before Robert sends Damian into the steps and over the barricade before rolling back inside and playing to the crowd as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Damian making his comeback before he hits a broken arrow for two before clapping Robert's ears and Robert hits a back stabber for two. Damian rocks Robert with strikes before Robert hits a spine buster for two before Damian and Robert counter each other's finishers until Robert rolls Damian up for two. Damian then counters another attempt at the Glorious DDT into The Reckoning for the pin and the win.
Winner: Damian Priest defeats Robert Roode via pinfall to retain his United States title.
- Bianca Belair comes out to the ring before she's attacked from behind by Doudrop as we go to commercial.
Bianca Belair vs Doudrop
Bianca uses her speed and athleticism to stay one step ahead of Doudrop until she misses a dropkick and Doudrop hits a senton for two before beating her down in the corner. Doudrop headbutts Bianca and locks in a straight jacket before clotheslining Bianca for two before Bianca knocks Doudrop off of the apron and Doudrop pulls her out of the ring. Doudrop then drives Bianca into the apron before hitting a jumping splash onto Bianca at ringside as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Bianca striking Doudrop back in the ring before hitting a spine buster and a diving cross body for two before Doudrop counters a sunset powerbomb. Doudrop then hits a Vader bomb for a near fall before missing a cannonball in the corner and escaping a KOD and getting counted out for the win for Bianca.
Winner: Bianca Belair defeats Doudrop via count out.
- In his office Mr.McMahon meets with Austin Theory for a second week in a row as we go to commercial.
- We go to the ring for tonight's edition of Miz TV with special guest Edge before the two go back and forth until the two stand up and face off before Edge challenges Miz to a match at Day 1 and Miz denies him before Edge feints hitting Miz and Miz falls backwards before Edge leaves.
- Backstage Liv Morgan is interviewed ahead of her challenging for the RAW Women's title later tonight as we go to commercial.
WWE RAW Tag Team Championship Number One Contender Tournament First Round Match
The Mysterios vs Alpha Academy
Dom and Chad start the match off with Chad isolating Dominik until Dominik pins Chad out of nowhere after a dragon screw and Chad lands on his feet when he misses a moonsault and shakily lands on his feet.
Winner: The Mysterios defeat Alpha Academy via pinfall to advance to the next round of the tournament.
- After the match Riddle tries to interview AA before Otis takes him out with a front slam.
Finn Balor vs T-BAR
Finn and T-BAR exchange head locks before T-BAR catches Finn in the air and tosses him across the ring for two before beating on him in mount and hits a backbreaker for two before locking in a rear chin lock and Finn gets to his feet and comes back with strikes and a clutch for a deep two count. Finn hits a jumping stomp before T-BAR counters a sling blade and drops Finn with a boot for two before Finn comes back with a sling blade and goes up top before T-BAR meets him up top. Finn then fights off a top rope chokeslam before hitting the Coup de Grace for the pin and the win.
Winner: Finn Balor defeats T-BAR via pinfall.
- Austin then shows up and gets a selfie with an unconscious Finn before leaving.
- We go backstage to Dana Brooke walking around with her 24/7 title before Reggie saves Dana from being attacked from behind by Tamina.
- We get a video package for the life and career of Liv ahead of challenging Becky up next as we go to commercial.
WWE RAW Women's Championship Match
Becky Lynch (c) vs Liv Morgan
Becky takes Liv down with a waist lock before locking in a standing side headlock and dropping Liv with a shoulder block when she gets free before Liv hits an arm drag and Becky rolls out of the ring before Becky gets back inside and Liv drops her. Liv and Becky run the ropes before Liv gets a series of two counts off of consecutive pin attempts before Becky drops her with a right hand and stomps her before Liv rocks her with a back elbow and hits a missile dropkick. Becky boots Liv out of the ring before missing a baseball slide and Liv hits a code breaker onto the floor before Liv hits a suicide dive and tosses Becky back inside for two before Becky catches her up top. Becky then hits a superplex, but is unable to capitalize as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Becky in control before Liv comes back with strikes and Becky hits a reverse DDT for two before missing a splash in the corner and rips Liv off of the second rope before going up top and landing on her feet when she misses a dive. Liv drops Becky with an enzuigiri before hitting a Thesz press and back elbow in the corner into a knee lift and gets caught in the ropes before hitting a code breaker for a near fall before hitting a head scissors. Liv then hits a missile dropkick for a deep two count before locking in a rings of Saturn and Becky counters into the Disarmer before Liv gets to the ropes for the break before Liv gets two off of an inside cradle and counters the Man Handle Slam before Becky pins Liv when she grabs the bottom rope for the win.
Winner: Becky Lynch retains her RAW Women's title by defeating Liv Morgan via pinfall.
