- The show's hosts Joe Tessitore & Jesse Ventura welcomed the audience to the broadcast before the commentary team of Michael Cole & Pat McAfee transitioned into the opening match.

- Alundra Blayze & Mark Henry were spotted in the crowd.
- WWE International Championship Match: Bron Breakker (c) def. Sheamus via Pinfall (Spear).
- Shawn Michaels moderated the contract signing between Kevin Owens & WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes. Owens called Rhodes a liar for saying he took the easy way out. Owens tried to point out Rhodes left when things got hard in WWE, but Rhodes said he had enough and demanded Owens to sign the contract. Owens signed and said that once he won the title, Rhodes will have to vacate all his privileges as the top guy to him. Michaels then intervened and said Owens sounded jealous of Rhodes but Owens mentioned that when things got tough for him in the WWF he left too before declaring he cared more about the title than HBK ever did and promised he would provide the fans a champion that would not "lose his smile". Owens tried to hit a Package Piledriver on HBK, but Rhodes kicked him with a boot kick before HBK hit the Sweet Chin Music.
