- Michael Cole & Wade Barrett welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning to the opening segment.

- The Bloodline (Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa & Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns) came to the ring to get face-to-face with the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens, but Reigns & Sikoa were initially greeted by "You Suck" chants from the crowd before Zayn & Owens came to the ring. Reigns told Owens & Zayn to acknowledge the Tribal Chief and hand over the titles to him, but Owens instead threw the titles out of the ring and tried to fight off Reigns & Sikoa. Reigns saw Owens's stance and immediately shifted his focus on talking to Zayn, saying that his only regret was wasting his life on Zayn. Zayn responded that he also had one regret, and that was blasting Reigns with a chair sooner. Zayn said that Reigns's greed had led them to this moment and said that he had nothing to say aside from telling Reigns that he would not get the Tag Titles because he & Sikoa were not as good as them or The Usos. Reigns was livid about this, which led to The Usos attacking Zayn & Owens from behind, which pissed Reigns even more because he did not want to see them in the ring. Reigns accidentally butted Sikoa's shoulder before he stormed out of the ring.

- Backstage, Reigns said that he was the Quarterback of The Bloodline and was irate that The Usos got involved in the attack on Zayn & Usos because he had something to say to Sami Zayn before kicking them out from backstage.

- There was a vignette of Pretty Deadly cosplaying as Chefs to mention the ingredients to being Pretty Deadly ahead of their SmackDown Debut against the Brawling Brutes.

Brawling Brutes ("Butch" Pete Dunne & Ridge Holland) (w/ Sheamus) vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson).

Sheamus joined the broadcast team for the match, saying that he had not gone to the pub yet today. Wilson & Butch began the match before Butch hit a forearm strike on Wilson. Wilson slammed Butch into the mat before Prince tagged in Butch stomped the hands of Prince & Wilson. Holland & Butch hit a Camel Clutch/ Shotgun Dropkick on Prince before Holland hit a Vertical Suplex on Holland. Wilson tagged in and hit a DDT on Holland to regain control as pretty Deadly stood tall ahead of the commercial break.

Back from the break, Pretty Deadly double-teamed Holland in the corner before taking him down with a double shoulder tackle and hitting a leg drop/ splash combination for a near fall. Prince slapped Holland in the face, but Holland hit a POUNCE on Prince. Wilson tagged in and tried to neutralize Holland, but Holland carried him and tagged in Butch. The Bruiserweight came in and hit enziguri kicks, German Suplexes, and Gamonguri Kicks on Pretty Deadly before hitting a Release Plex on Wilson for a near fall. Butch hit an enziguri kick on Wilson on the top rope, but Wilson dropped him before Holland tagged in. Holland carried both Wilson & Prince before hitting them with a Release Samoan Drop on them. Holland & Butch fired away with eh 10 Beats of the Battering on Prince & Wilson Holland went for a Liger Bomb, but Wilson slammed Holland onto Butch onto the corner, laying out Butch and allowing them to hit Holland with Spilled Milk for the pinfall win.

Winners: Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson).

- There was a video package giving tribute to Billy Graham, featuring the likes of Hulk Hogan, Dusty Rhodes, Jerry Lawler, John Cena, and more. You can find more reactions to Graham's unfortunate passing here. Fightful sends condolences to the friends and family of Graham.

- Zelina Vega was interviewed backstage by Kayla Braxton ahead of her match against Asuka. Vega said that she proved that she can hang against the best of the best in WWE, saying that she was going to prove to Asuka that she was ready.

Asuka went for a kick, but Vega evaded and hit a Schoolboy Kick on Asuka to begin the match. Asuka went for a pump knee, but Vega reversed it with a pin for a near fall. Vega went for the 619, but Asuka evaded it by rolling to the outside. Asuka caught Vega on the outside with a Roundhouse Kick before slamming Vega head-first into the broadcast table before the commercial break.

Back from the break, Asuka booted Vega in the face multiple times, but Vega responded with three elbow strikes. Vega went for a Hammerthrow, but Asuka blocked it. Vega responded with a Basement Dropkick before hitting a Drop toe-hold into the 619 on Asuka before hitting the Meteora on Asuka for a near fall. Vega went for a Crucifix, but Asuka reversed it. Vega went for a stretch pin on Asuka, but Asuka reversed it into the Asuka Lock, but Asuka reversed it into a pin for a near fall. Vega went for another pin, but Asuka reversed it by locking in El Sacrificio for the Submission win.

Asuka did not release the hold after the match, which led to Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair making the save. Belair checked on Vega, but that was until Asuka spat the Blue Mist on Belair. Belair was bamboozled by the Misti being spit at her.

- There was a video package promoting the match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship between Seth Rollins & AJ Styles for WWE Night of Champions on May 27, 2023.

- Grayson Waller hosted the first-ever edition of "The Grayson Waller Effect" on SmackDown, with AJ Styles as the special guest. Waller acknowledged the previous feud he & Styles had in NXT before saying that Styles was right, calling him a first-ballot Hall of Famer. Styles said that his recent absence was the longest he had been out of the ring, saying that he trained harder than ever because he know there would be an opportunity to be a Champion. Styles said that he wanted to be the new World Heavyweight Champion more than breathing. Waller said that he could not wait until the Announcer revealed that Seth Rollins was the new champion. The two went face-to-face after the segment.

- Santos Escobar, Rey Mysterio, Joaquin Wilde & Cruz del Toro talked backstage ahead of their match. Cruz asked Mysterio & Escobar to bring a "buena chinga (good ass-whooping)" to The Usos on their match later in the night.

Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) vs. LA Knight & Rick Boogs.

Knight cut a promo, saying that he was on SmackDown for the titles, even the Tag Titles. Knight said that he would team with anyone to get the gold, promising to lead Rick Boogs to beat the Street Profits.

Ford & Boogs began the match, with Ford evading Ford's offense. Boogs got Ford and started Military Pressing Ford over his head before tossing him into the corner. Dawkins tagged in to have a hoss war with Boogs, but Boogs hit a shoulder tackle before getting Dawkins in Pump-Handle Curls on Dawkins before hitting a Pump-Handle Fall-Away Slam on Dawkins. Knight & Boogs hit a double shoulder tackle on Dawnkins before Knight hit a Scoop Powerslam into a Leaping Elbow on Dawkins for a near fall. Boogs tagged in before he & Knight went for a back suplex, but Dawkins landed on his feet and tagged in Ford. Ford hit a Crossbody on both Knight & Boogs before hitting a lariat on Knight, a series of kicks on Boogs, and clotheslining Boogs & Knight consecutively before Ford hit a Tope Con Giro on Boogs & Knight. Ford got Boogs back in the ring to allow Dawkins to hit the Sky High before Ford hit the Leaping Frog Splash on Boogs for the pinfall win.

LA Knight was not satisfied with Boogs's performance before hitting the BFT on Boogs after the match.

Winners: Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins).

- Cameron Grimes was interviewed by Megan Morant backstage, with him saying that his quick win against Baron Corbin last week would not stop him to going to the top, promising to go "TO THE MOON!".

- Karrion Kross & Scarlett cut a promo backstage before Kross called out AJ Styles.

Valentina Feroz & Yulisa Leon vs. The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn).

Leon made her return after months out due to injury by locking up with Alba Fyre, but that was until Dawn & Fyre hit a Tarantula/ Thrust Kick combo before Dawn hit a Meteora on Leon. Dawn hit a roundhouse kick on Leon before hitting an Iconoplasm on Feroz. Fyre tagged back in before hitting the Flatliner/ Gory Bomb combo for the pinfall win.

Winners: The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn).

- After it was announced that she & Liv Morgan relinquished the WWE Women's Tag Titles due to Morgan's injury, Raquel Rodriguez put over Morgan for fighting through. She was interrupted by Damage Control's Bayley & Iyo Sky before they challenged Raquel to a match next week.

- WWE United States Champion Austin Theory cut a promo in the ring, saying that he expected to get respect in his SmackDown return but was ganged up by Bobby Lashley & Sheamus instead. Theory understood Lashley attacking Theory due to their months-long feud but was bamboozled by Sheamus attacking him last week. Sheamus came to the ring to confront Theory, but he instead hit a Brogue Kick on Theory, eyeing the United States Title.

- Paul Heyman told The Usos that Roman Reigns apologizes to them, but was not going to join them during their match against the LWO to focus on their match against Zayn & Owens on Night of Champions. Heyman told the to beat the LWO in the Main Event.

The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso) vs. Latino World Order (Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar).

Mysterio & Jey began the match, with Jey slamming Rey into the corner before he & Jimmy laid in the punches on Mysterio in the corner. Jimmy slammed Mysterio with an Irish Whip into the opposite corner. Mysterio hit a Toe kick to the gut before Escobar tagged in and hit an enziguri kick on Jimmy. Mysterio sent Jimmy out of the ring before Escobar clotheslined Jey to the outside before Mysterio & Escobar posed in the ring ahead of the commercial break.

Back from the break, The Usos regained control, but that was until Escobar laid in punches on the Uso Brothers. Jimmy slammed Escobar into the corner before getting a Schoolboy Roll-Up on Escobar for a near fall. Jimmy got Escobar in the corner and laid in the punches on him before hitting a chop. Jimmy tossed Escobar to the opposite corner, but Escobar responded with a running dropkick on Jimmy. Jey tagged in and hit a cheap shot on Mysterio, but Escobar got him with an Inside Cradle for a near fall. Jey hit a slap on Santos before going for a pin, but Escobar kicked out. Jimmy tagged in and laid in jabs on Escobar's head before hitting the Hip Attack on Escobar. Jimmy set up to hit another Hip Attack on Escobar, but Escobar caught him with a V-Trigger before Jey & Mysterio tagged in. Mysterio ran the ropes and hit the Tijeras on Jey. Jey tossed Mysterio into the apron, but Mysterio hit an enziguri before hitting a Diving Cross-body & a Springboard Cross-body on Jey consecutively for a near fall. Rey hit a Toe Kick on Jey before hitting a Code Red for a near fall. Jey threw Rey with a Hammerthrow before Jimmy hit a kick on Rey's neck, allowing Jey to hit a Pop-Up Neckbreaker on Mysterio for a near fall. Jimmy tagged back in before The Usos went or a Double Suplex on Mysterio, but Mysterio escaped the hold before tossing them to the outside. Escobar tagged in and hit a Tope Con Giro on both Usos before bringing Jimmy back into the ring. Jimmy hit a Spinning Enziguri Kick on Escobar, but Escobar responded with a V-Trigger, a Running Knee into the corner, and a Frankensteiner off the Top Rope on Jimmy for a near fall. Escobar & Mysterio hit a Neckbreaker/ Leg Drop combination on Jimmy to get a pin, but Jey broke the pin before hitting a Thrust Kick on Escobar. Rey went for the 619 on Jimmy, but Jimmy caught him with a Thrust Kick before Jey tagged in and hit a Frog Splash on Rey, but Rey kicked out at two. The Usos went for the Frog Splashes on Rey, but the referee was distracted. This allowed Escobar to drop Jey to the outside and for Zayn to push Jimmy into the mat. This allowed Mysterio to hit the 619 on Jimmy before Escobar hit a Frog Splash on Jey for the pinfall win.

got off his chair, but Reigns told him to sit back down as the broadcast came to its end.
