This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE Smackdown Live. Tonight we have a great show as for the first time in WWE we have Daniel Bryan squaring off against Samoa Joe where if Daniel wins he will be added to the Money in the Bank match. We also have Shinsuke Nakamura taking on Tye Dillinger, New Day take on The Bar and The Miz and much more so be sure to come back here at 8pm EST for all of the action and to stick with us afterwards for the post-show podcast!
-Samoa Joe comes out to the ring to start the show and gets a ladder out from under the ring before putting it in the ring and climbing it. Joe stands at the top of the ladder and grabs one of the briefcases hanging above the ring before unhooking it and coming down with it. Joe talks about the Money in the Bank match and how he is going to win it and Joe is going to stop Daniel from earning a spot in the match. Daniel comes out and says that they don't have to edit for tonight for their match, only to get interrupted by Big Cass once Daniel gets in the ring. Cass makes his way down to the ring on one crutch and mocks both of them before getting in the ring.
Cass says that Joe will face him tonight before Cass hits Joe with the ladder and Daniel attacks Cass before Cass whips him into the ladder and sends both of them out of the ring by hitting them with the briefcase. Cass then plays to the crowd and holds up the briefcase before we cut to Shinsuke Nakamura making his way from the back for his match against Tye Dillinger as we go to commercial.
-We come back from commercial to Paige backstage with Renee where she announces that the match between Samoa Joe and Daniel Bryan will now have the addition of Big Cass and become a triple threat match.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs Tye Dillinger
Tye shoved Shinsuke to start the match before Shinsuke knees him and Tye sends him into the corner before hitting a series of mounted punches. Shinsuke then rolls out of the ring to regroup before Tye goes for a tope to the outside, but Shinsuke catches him with a kick and Tye falls out of the ring and onto the floor as we go to commercial.
Shinsuke is in control as we come back from commercial playing to the crowd and mocking Tye before hitting his signature running knees in the corner. Tye comes back with a series of right hands and chops before dropping Shinsuke with a clothesline. Shinsuke then comes back with a Kinshasa off of the top before hitting a second one for the pin and the win.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura defeats Tye Dillinger via pinfall with a Kinshasa.
-Naomi and Lana have a dance competition before Lana hits a neckbreaker and a ring clearing brawl ensues with Naomi and the Usos coming out on top as we go to commercial.
New Day vs The Bar & The Miz
E starts the match with Cesaro before New Day triple team him, then Kofi tags in and gets backed into the corner as we go to commercial.
Cesaro is in control of Kofi as we come back from commercial, then Cesaro tags in and hits an elbow drop from the top for a quick two count before Kofi side steps Cesaro and he goes over the top rope. Miz and Sheamus send Big-E into the barricade and Kofi tags Xavier in just ad Sheamus tags in and hits a huricanrrana. Sheamus goes shoulder first into the ring post before hitting a rolling senton over the top rope and takes out Cesaro. Xavier hits a tornado DDT for a near fall before Sheamus catches him on the top, before everyone hire a move and Cesaro gets a near fall. Big-E then hits a uranage before Miz gets a blind tag and hire a snap DDT for a near fall, then Big-E hits the Big Ending to The Miz for the pin and the win.
Winner: New Day defeat The Bar & The Miz via pinfall when Big-E hits The Miz with the Big Ending.
Asuka vs Mandy Rose
Sonya Deville attacks Asuka before the match starts, then Mandy stomps on Asuka in the corner before hitting an exploder suplex for a quick two count. Mandy then hits a jumping knee for a quick two count before playing to the crowd as we go to commercial.
Asuka comes back with a flurry of strikes as we come back from commercial and hits a running hip attack before hitting a missile dropkick for a quick two count. Asuka then misses a hip attack, but gets a near fall off of a roll up before they exchange pin attempts until Asuka locks in the Asuka Lock for the tap and the win.
Winner: Asuka defeats Mandy Rose via submission with the Asuka Lock.
Money in the Bank Qualifying Triple Threat Match
Samoa Joe vs Big Cass vs Daniel Bryan
Daniel and Joe immediately attack Cass, forming a short-lived partnership before Joe beats Daniel down in the corner with a series of right hands. Daniel hits a dropkick through the ropes before Joe hits a tope to the outside and Daniel hits a diving cross body off of the top and takes everyone out as we go to commercial.
Joe beats on both Daniel and Cass as we come back from commercial until Cass comes back with a series of right hands and sends Daniel out of the ring. Cass tossed Daniel across the announce table before Daniel rushes back in and sends Cass out of the ring. Daniel hits a series of right hands in the corner before hitting a frankenteiner, then a series of running dropkicks before Cass drops him with a boot for a near fall as we go to commercial.
Joe and Cass go back and forth with strikes as we return from the commercial until Cass guts a spinebuster into an elbow drop for a quick two count that Daniel breaks up. Cass catches Daniel and hits a spinning side slam for a near fall that Joe breaks up before Daniel hits both Joe and Cass with dragon screw leg whips and his signature Yes Kicks for a near fall of his own. Daniel counters the finishers of both Joe and Cass, sending Joe out of the ring before locking in the Yes Lock on Cass. Daniel then hits a missile dropkick before dropping Cass with a shining wizard for a near fall that Joe breaks up before locking in the Coquina Clutch until Daniel passes out and the referee is forced to call for the bell.
Winner: Samoa Joe defeats Daniel Bryan & Big Cass to gain entry into the Money in the Bank match when he wins via referee stoppage when he chokes Daniel Bryan unconscious with the Coquina Clutch.
