Rey Mysterio is fair, but firm, with his 24-year-old son.
When inside the Royal Rumble, it is every man for himself. This has been shown many times in the world as tag team partners have been forced to fight one another and sometimes, eliminate one another.
This year, father and son, Rey and Dominik Mysterio will be entered into the Royal Rumble. In the weeks leading up to the match, Rey and Dominik have openly stated that they each plan on winning the Royal Rumble match and Rey Mysterio was even able to throw his son over the rope during an episode of Monday Night Raw.
Now, Rey Mysterio is talking about the possibility of his son actually eliminating him from the real Royal Rumble match and while he understands the competition aspect of it all, he still plans on punishing him if that should happen.
"To have my son in there with me. Whatever ends up happening between my son and I, it's all competition. It's all love. It's all love for the business and, you gotta have love for yourself to try and make it to the time so I wouldn't mind if my son threw me over. If that's what he could do. I'm not gonna get mad," Rey tells Rasslin's Brandon Walker. "I mean, I will, I mean, if that ends up happening, which I really doubt, I'll probably take his car keys away for about a month. So he's gonna have to Uber everywhere he goes."
At one time, it was unclear who Dominik Mysterio's father actually was. Now, you can always give yourself a mental refresher by using our resources section.
Rey Mysterio once held the record for the longest time ever spent in any Royal Rumble match with his victory in 2006. Now, he is looking to repeat that success 16 years later at this year's Royal Rumble event.
We will have live coverage of the event on Saturday, January 29.
