Rhea Ripley Was Expecting Charlotte Flair To Be Added To Raw Women's Title Match

Rhea Ripley joined the Raw roster on the March 22 episode of WWE Raw, officially challenging Asuka to a Raw Women's Title bout at WrestleMania 37.

Asuka accepted the challenge, setting up the match for night two of WrestleMania 37. Before Ripley made her debut, Charlotte Flair stated that she had her eyes set on Asuka and the Raw Women's Title at WrestleMania 37. Unfortunately, the same day Ripley joined Raw, Charlotte announced she had tested positive for COVID.

Charlotte was reportedly backstage for the March 29 episode of Raw, but did not make an appearance. However, Ripley was expecting Charlotte to be added to the Raw Women's Title bout.

"Yeah, I was expecting something like that to happen, but it hasn’t. I hope that everything in Charlotte’s life is doing great. I hope that she’s mentally good and physically good. I don’t really know what’s going on with all of that, but I am very excited to step in the ring with Asuka. If Charlotte got added to the match, I wouldn’t complain. I think it would still be an amazing match, and it would be a lot of fun and hopefully, I could get some payback for last year," Ripley said on a media call when asked about the possibility of Charlotte being added to the match by Louis Dangoor of WrestleTalk.

Flair defeated Ripley to capture the NXT Women's Championship at WrestleMania 36.

As of now, Charlotte is without a match at WrestleMania 37.
