Pimpin' might not be easy, but Vince McMahon makes it look effortless.
At least, according to Rhino. When discussing the mindset of McMahon and WWE with Chris Jericho on Talk is Jericho, Rhino had nothing but kind words to say about his former boss in WWE.
"You have to admit, he is a pimp. Not a real pimp," clarified Rhino. "He's so cool. People say he's lost it, but I try to explain to people; WWE is in a marathon. They're so far ahead of everybody. Why are they gonna start sprinting now and maybe run out of gas when the other runners will just pass them up. I'm not saying they're coasting. You go out and give it 100%, but as AEW and other companies start closing that gap, that's when they are picking up the pace. Sometimes they don't have to pull out all the guns because then they'll run out of gas."
The "marathon, not a sprint" line is the same verbiage used by WWE in their congratulatory statement to AEW following the premiere of AEW Dynamite, which outdrew NXT by a wide margin. NXT has since closed the gap, even winning the viewership and demographic rating on Dec. 18, the last time the two shows went head-to-head with live events.
