Tony Khan brought Ric Flair to AEW in October 2023 as a present for Sting, who was set to embark on his retirement tour ahead of AEW Revolution 2024.
Flair appeared regularly on AEW television, and was involved in Sting's last match at AEW Revolution where he teamed with Darby Allin against The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson).
Speaking on the Five Star Podcast, Flair was asked about his relationship with Tony Khan.
"We’re very close. He’s one of the greatest, not just a great promoter, he’s one of the greatest people, human beings I’ve ever met. Very caring, genuine guy. Got more money than God [laughs]. (I don’t have) Tony Khan money. I bought time on a jet, Tony has a jet. Probably several," he said.
Flair has not been on AEW TV since his appearance at AEW Revolution.
Elsewhere during the interview, Flair commented on the possibility of having one more match. You can find his comments by clicking here.
