Ricochet: Imagine If I Didn't Go To WWE, Where Would Will Ospreay Be?

In 2016, Ricochet and Will Ospreay clashed in NJPW Best of the Super Juniors tournament, putting on a memorable clash that elevated both men to new heights.

Ricochet went on to sign with WWE in 2018 while Ospreay became one of the top stars in NJPW before signing with AEW.

Speaking to Renee Paquette in a face-to-face interview with Ricochet, Ospreay said that he won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title the night that Ricochet left NJPW, and he felt dirty because he fulfilled his promises while Ricochet went the path he did.

"Honestly, he should be happy that I went and I did what I thought was the best for me," said Ricochet. "You should be happy that I went and did what I thought was best for my family, and I had the 'six-year hiatus' as you say, which allowed you to have the career that you had. Imagine if I hadn't gone. Imagine if I would have stayed. Where would you be? If you think that me not winning a championship in a company is not fulfilling a promise, I have decades of championships, decades of memories, decades of giving people feelings, decades of people walking out of the building, with a championship or not, they remember Ricochet."

They are set to meet at AEW Dynamite Fifth Anniversary.

Ospreay's AEW International Championship will be on the line in the match.
