The Rock couldn't make it to WrestleMania 34.
Building up to WrestleMania, rumors were swirling about what WWE was going to do with Ronda Rousey in her professional wrestling debut. The rumors included a few names who could team with Rousey but WWE ultimately chose Raw General Manager Kurt Angle for the match. In an interview with KISS FM UK, The Rock revealed he was asked about the opportunity but could not do it because of engagements.
"Matter of fact, Vince McMahon and I were talking about two months ago trying to figure out what I was going to do if I went back to WrestleMania. He pitched me this really great idea that I'd get involved in a tag match with Ronda Rousey who is of course incredible and I'm very proud of her," said The Rock. "We couldn't make it work this time because I was in Shanghai. But, Who knows down line?," he continued.
Rousey and Angle were victorious at WrestleMania 34 as Rousey submitted Stephanie McMahon. The Rock and Rousey had a run in with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 31 which can be seen in the video at the top of this page.
