Roman Reigns shares his thoughts about Moxley's departure from WWE.
The current IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley is gearing up to compete in New Japan Pro Wrestling's G1 Climax 29 tournament which kicks off this weekend in Dallas, Texas. Moxley has made his presence felt on the professional wrestling scene since his departure from WWE and his reemergence back outside of the walls of the sports-entertainment company as "Jon Moxley".
Within the month of June, Jon Moxley did several interviews in-which he spoke about his experiences in WWE and discussed the lack of creative freedom he felt was lacking in the company. Seth Rollins responded to Moxley's comments during an appearance on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast and their former Shield-brethren Roman Reigns also spoke about Moxley during an interview with Sports Illustrated. Reigns expressed that he will always be rooting for Moxley but did add that their working relationship will not be what it used to be.
“I don’t think our working relationship is going to be what it used to be, but I’ll always love that guy, he’ll always be my close friend, and I wish the best for him,” said Reigns. “I wish the best for him, his family, his wife, and we’ll always be friends for the rest of our lives. We have a brotherhood, so I’m always cheering for him. I’ve shared so many great moments with Ambrose, or Mox,” said Reigns. “We have love for each other well beyond the wrestling, and it will always be that way.”
Roman Reigns will be in action next Sunday at WWE's Extreme Rules pay-per-view when he and The Undertaker team up to take on Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre.
